This tour explores the ‘Avenues and Alleyways’ of Cardiff City Centre, uncovering its nooks and crannies and its inner secrets. Discover Cardiff’s rich and varied history. Trace its origins as a modest Roman port, via the influence of the Normans, its prominent role in the court of Elizabeth 1st, the remarkable prosperity of the entrepreneurial Victorian era when it dominated the world’s coal industry – culminating in today’s modern, vibrant and cosmopolitan centre, one of Europe’s youngest capital cites

The tour guide will be a qualified local guide; a member of Wales Official Tourist Guides Association. These are the only guides officially recognised by Visit Wales and Welsh Government to guide in Wales. They have undergone extensive training, passing both practical and academic guiding examinations.
