Stop At: Glenorchy-Queenstown Road, Mount Creighton New Zealand

Travel from Queenstown to Glenorchy on one of the top 10 most scenic roads in the world. Take in the incredible views as we follow the lake's edge, and pass the Thomson and Humboldt Mountains on our journey to the top of Lake Wakatipu.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Twelve Mile Delta Road, Closeburn 9371, New Zealand

Our first stop enroute is at Twelve Mile Delta. Twelve Mile is not only a beautiful scenic stop, but it is also one of the first filming locations we will visit on the day. Take the chance to get some photos and visualise this once-movie set.

Stop At: Bennetts Bluff Viewpoint Walking Track, Mount Creighton 9371, New Zealand

As we travel along this incredible drive, we will stop and take in the amazing views from Bennett's Bluff. From here you can catch your first glimpse of Glenorchy and the Mount Aspiring National Park sitting beyond it.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Glenorchy Wharf, 4 Islay Street, Glenorchy 9372, New Zealand

Once we arrive in Glenorchy, we will take you on a journey through this small country village. You will get the chance to take a short walk around the township, visiting Glenorchy's iconic red boat shed and lakefront.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Glenorchy-Paradise Road, Otago 9372, New Zealand

From Glenorchy, we will take the journey to Paradise and Diamond Lake. Paradise offers rich farm land, native forests, and iconic views up into the Dart Valley and Mount Aspiring National Park.
More famously, Paradise is the backdrop to many films, TV series, and commercials and your Altitude Tours guide will take you through these scenes. See what ones you can spot!

Stop At: Diamond Lake, Otago 9372, New Zealand

Nestled up by Paradise is Diamond Lake. It is near here that your guide will set up a delicious morning tea. A spread of cheese rolls, sweet slices, kiwifruit, chocolates, and tea/coffee/milo. Tuck into these delicious local delicacies, and take the chance to dress up as your favourite Middle Earth characters for a unique photo opportunity.

Stop At: Glenorchy, Glenorchy, Otago Region, South Island

We will start the journey back to Queenstown, with a short stop in Glenorchy to use the bathrooms.
