With a long sandy beach and convenient walkway the full length of the bay, it is an ideal location for watching the ships come into harbour, spotting the dolphins and sea birds as well as enjoy a breath of breezy North Sea air.

Stop At: Castle Fraser Garden & Estate, Sauchen AB51 7LD Scotland

Aberdeenshire has a wonderful collection of different castles, in fact we have more castles here per acre than anywhere else in Scotland!
Castle Fraser is one of our favourites and we will visit the wonderful grounds with its grand trees and the walled garden which is a mixture of vegetable, herbs and ornamental plants and flowers. The Castle is a unique experience as you'll wind your way up and down the spiral staircases, you can explore the different rooms which tell the stories of the Fraser family who inhabited the castle for hundreds of years and latterly of the Smiley family. The Fraser's of Castle Fraser have some interesting characters and you'll hear stories from different family members who lived in the castle as your tour the building.
