Day 1: Arrival time at Tashkent

Day 4: Khiva - Ayaz Kala

Drive to ruins of ancient fortresses named “Golden Ring of Ancient Khorezm” outside of Khiva

13:00 Arrival at Ayaz Kala
The Ayaz Kala fortress existed from the 4th century BC to the 7th century AD. 1-12 centuries, unique monuments of antiquity, were fortifications for settlements engaged in agriculture.
14:00 - 15:00 Lunch at Ayaz Kala yurt camp or on way in Teahouse
Here you can ride camels and walk through the ruins.

Bakhoutdin Naqshbandi mausoleum - the place of pilgrimage for Muslims which was erected in 1544 in honor of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi the prominent saint and the founder of the Naqshbandiya Spiritual Order.It is considered that Naqshbandi was Sayid, the direct descendant of Prophet Muhammad.

People from far countries come here to find healing and wisdom. Chor-Bakr Necropolis which was built over the burial place of Abu-Bakr-Said, who was one of the four of Abu-Bakrs (Chor-Bakr) - descendants of the Prophet Muhammad.

Day 8: Samarkand City Tour

Gur-Emir Mausoleum (“the grave of Emir”).
Registan square, which was the center of Samarkand during centuries. Registan Square is a complex of three monuments: Ulugbek Madrassah (15 th century), Sher-Dor Madrassah (17 century) and Tilla-Kari Madrassah (17 century).

Day 9: Samarkand

Stop At: Samarkand, Samarkand, Samarqand Province

10:00 The day starts from visiting the one of the most mysterious Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, where you will find a complex consisting of more than twenty buildings, unique in Central Asia.
Visit Ulugbek Observatory - incredible construction of 15 century for studying astronomy and the Afrosiab Museum.The museum is located on the site of an ancient settlement called Afrosiab. In 1220 the city was almost completely destroyed by the Mongol ruler Genghis Khan.
13:00 Break for lunch at the national restaurant “Ahmad lux osh” to taste Samarkand plov
Saint Daniel Mausoleum
Visit Koni Gil paper mill (10 km from Samarkand, 2 hrs). A good chance to watch the old technology of silk paper production.

Day 10: Samarkand - Shakhrisabz - Samarkand

Pass By: Samarkand, Samarkand, Samarqand Province

10:00 Drive to Shakhrisabz (90 km, 1 hour and 30 min by car)
Visit the ruins of Ak-Sarai. In Amir Timur's time in the northwest part of Shahrisabz there was built the huge Ak-Sarai palace surpassing even the governmental residence in Samarkand. But the palace was destroyed in the second half of the 16th century by the Sheibanids who tried to erase any signs of the Timurids.
Visit Dorut-Tilyavat memorial complex with Kok Gumbaz Mosque and ruins of Doru - Saodat Complex which consists of the mausoleum of Jahongir, elder son of Amir Timur, Omar's tomb, Timur's second son, Hazrat Imam Mosque and Timur's vault.
Lunch at a local family is a good chance to learn more about customs of the Uzbek family.
Back to Samarkand. On the way you will have wonderful scenery of Kashkadarya landscape.

Day 11: Tashkent - let's go to the mountains

Pass By: Tashkent, Tashkent, Tashkent Province

09:00 Travel to Chimgan mountains. The road winds through beautiful snowy mountain scenery
View of the surroundings.
Reindeer farm
Visit to Hodjikent grotto with petroglyphs.
Drive to Amirsoy resort, where you can take a cable car to the top of Amirsoy. ATV rides on request (optional).
Then the road leads to Charvak reservoir surrounded by mountainsides. Arrival at the reservoir.
