Day 1: Arrive at Paro - Paro Sight Seeing
Stop At: Rinpung Dzong, Paro Bhutan
Rinpung Dzong means the fortress on the heap of jewels or the fort of Paro.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: National Museum, Tag-Dzong Rinpung Dzong, Paro 12001 Bhutan
Once a watchtower, built to defend Rinpung Dzong during inter valley wars of the 17th century, Ta Dzong was inaugurated as Bhutan's National Museum in 1968.
It holds fascinating collection of Arts, relics, religious thangkas paintings and Bhutan's exquisite postage stamp.

Stop At: Namgay Artisanal Brewery, Dumsibu, Paro 11001, Bhutan
This is a beer factory where they brew different flavor of Bhutanese Beer.
You can take a tour of the brewery and taste the various flavors of beer and satisfy your taste palate.

Day 2: Bumdra Trek Begins
Stop At: Bumdrak Monastery འབུམ་བྲག་ལྷ་ཁང་།, G94J+46V, Bhutan
From your hotel drive to Sang Choekhor, a Buddhist College located in Paro district on a mountain top (2,800m). You will meet your ponies and trekking staffs here and while your luggage is being loaded you can visit the temple.
From here you climb further up through the thick forest of blue pine, oak and rhododendron till you reach an opening from where you can have a spectacular view of the Paro valley.
About 2 hours walk further, you will reach Choetse Temple built in the 17th century which served as a meditation cave. After about 40 minutes we will reach a wide meadow close to Bumdra Monastery -we will spend a night here.

Day 3: Bumdra to Tiger's Nest ( Trek Ends)
Stop At: Paro Taktsang, Taktsang Trail BT, Paro Bhutan
In the morning visit Bumdra Monastery founded by a Great Tibetan Yogini called Machig Labdron.
After the visit descend to the magical Tiger's Nest.
Visit the most Iconic monument of Bhutan, Taktshang Goenpa hanging on edge of a cliff -awe-inspiring view.

Stop At: Paro Penlop Heritage Home Museum, Carpenters Road, Paro Bhutan
After a tiring days hike we will visit a heritage home and try out a traditional hot stone bath and have a farmhouse dinner, set in typical Bhutanese style. If interested you can also participate with host in making the famous ema datshi, the popular Bhutanese dish prepared out of chillies

Day 4: Paro- Punakha (120 KMS/4HOURS)
Stop At: Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge, Paro-Thimphu Highway, Paro 12001 Bhutan
On the way stop at Tachoggang and visit the temple and the bridge built by handmade iron chain

Stop At: Punakha Suspension Bridge, Punakha Dzong, Punakha 13001 Bhutan
Pho Chhu Suspension Bridge - The 160 meters Pho Chhu Suspension Bridge is known for the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan, which gives you spectacular views of Punakha Dzong and the Pho Chhu Valley.

Day 5: Punakha Sightseeing
Stop At: Sopsokha, Bhutan
After Breakfast drive to a village at Sopsokha, a tiny village located in the midst of paddy field. It is believe that Lam Drukpa Kinley the divine madman was followed by demoness till Sopsokha village. It is here where he has subdued the evil spirits.He used the phallus as a medium to subdue and discipline the malevolent Spirits. And to celebrate the victory , on the exact spot Chimi Lhakhang was constructed later on by Lama Ngawang Chogyal.
So that's why you may see the phallus painting at almost all the house of Sopsokha Village.
We can stroll the village for sometimes, interact with the locals , take pictures and then head for Chimi Lhakhang

Stop At: Chimi Lhakhang Temple, Punakha Bhutan
Hike to Chimi Lhakhang which is just about five minutes walk from Sopsokha Village .
This temple is also popularly known as the divine mad monk's temple or the temple of fertility.

Stop At: Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, Punakha Bhutan
- Drive further to take a small hike to Nyzergang to visit the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. The scene from the stupa is spectacular. The Stupa stand majestically on the high hill top of the Punakha Valley. This structure is a classic example of gorgeous traditions and architecture and was built by the Queen Mother for dispelling negative forces and to maintain peace and harmony in the country and for all the living beings.

You can try white water rafting under the guidance of experience Rafters. It offers the unique chance to enjoy the scenic view of Punakha Valley and at the same time you can get your adrenaline pumped.
However if you do not want to do white water rafting then we can opt to visit other cultural sightseeing places like Talo Monastery

Day 6: Witness Punakha Festival, Evening Drive To Gangtey
Stop At: Punakha Dzong, Punakha 13001 Bhutan
Today is a special day for you as you will witness one of the most awaited festival for the Bhutanese at Punakha Dzong. You will see the local people wearing the traditional dresses called as “Gho” for men and “Kira “ for women with different designs and intricate patterns . The colors of the Mask dancer and the traditional folk music all makes it even more interesting to be there. The clowns called as Atsara ( Achariya for sanskirit meaning the master) will entertain you throughout the day with some objects in their hand and a phallus hanging from the top of their mask ready to fly over the women. Different kinds of dances will be portrayed followed by Traditional folk dance. You can mingle with the people and you can notice yourself not being able to keep your camera away from you.
After a good lunch and some break drive back to the courtyard. It will still amaze you with many more different mask dances to be displayed

Day 7: Gangtey Village
Stop At: Gangtey, Gangtey, Wangdue Phodrang District
After a good lunch begin your hike down the Gangtey Trail through the pine forests. It offers you beautiful landscape of the Phobjikha Valley.Phobjikha valley is without doubt one of the beautiful valley. The hike will take you about 1 hour to 2 and half hour. Meet your driver waiting for you at the other end of the road. .

Stop At: Black Necked Crane Center, Bhutan
Visit The Black Necked Crane Information Center. The center is well equipped with the Powerful Telescope and it has the best view for spotting birds if you are in the right time

Stop At: Gangtey Monastery, Gangtey Bhutan
After lunch we will visit Gangtey monastery. If interested we will light butter lamp, make incense offering, hoist prayer flags or interact with the monks.
Later you can try a traditional hot stone bath which is suppose to have a lot of healing properties

Day 8: Gangtey-Thimphu
Stop At: Thimphu Chorten (Memorial Chorten), Thimphu Bhutan
● Visit National Memorial Chorten: The building of this landmark was envisaged by the third king, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, as a monument to world peace and prosperity. Completed in 1974 after his untimely death, it is both a memorial to the Late King (” the father of modern Bhutan “) and a monument to world peace. The paintings and statues inside the monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy.

Stop At: Buddha Dordenma, Kuensel Phodrang Viewing Point, Thimphu 11001 Bhutan
Visit to Kuensel Phodrang, called as Buddha Point, where you will be visiting the World's tallest sitting Buddha Statue

Day 9: Thimphu Sightseeing, Thimphu-Paro
Stop At: Jigme Dorji National Park, Thimphu Bhutan
We can drive to Dodina, the northern end of Thimphu (8,600meters') and hike through Jigme Dorji National Park to a steep hill to visit Cheri Monastery, or Goemba, built in 1620 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and established with an original staff of 30 monks. Today the monastery serves as the main meditation
Center of the country and has more than 70 monks undergoing their three year, three-month retreat. Inside is a silver chorten holding the ashes of the Shabdrung's father. On your return you'll visit Tango Goemba (another Steep one-hour climb), founded in the 12th century (the present building was constructed in the 15th century). It is now a Buddhist institute for higher learning. Time permitting; you'll visit Tashichho Dzong, seat of the royal government and central monastic body, upon your return from the hike. (1 hour driving; 4 hours hiking)
Later in the evening return to Paro
