Visit the beautiful fort of Chittorgarh, The Chittorgarh Fort, is one of the largest forts in India. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort was the capital of Mewar and is located in the present-day city of Chittorgarh.You need at-least one day to explore the fort complex. The best things to see are the Vijay Stambha, Samadhisvar Temple, Kumbha Palace and Ratan Signh Palace.

Next visit the Vijaya Stambha, an imposing victory monument located within Fort. The tower was constructed by the Hindu Rajput king Rana Kumbha of Mewar in 1448 to commemorate his victory over the army of Malwa led by Mahmud Khalji in the Battle of Sarangpur.

The Padmini Palace was the residence of Rani Padmini, the rajput queen, wife of King Rawal Ratan Singh, who played a crucial role in rajput history. It is a 3 storied white building that overlooks a pleasant lotus pool. The palace is adorned by the pavilions at the top and surrounded water moats. The architecture of this palace becomes the example for many other notable structures which were surrounded by the water.

Kirti Stambha is a tower situated at Chittor Fort in Chittorgarh. The tower is 22-metre-high tall and was built by Jeeja Bhagerwala during the reign of Rawal Kumar Singh in 12th-century for the glory of Jainism. The Stambha itself is covered with very beautiful sculptures. It's really very beautiful if you see these particularly. A must place to visit during Chittorgarh Fort Visit.
