The Wine Experience is the pioneer of Wine Tours in Uruguay, so we love creating unique experiences off the beaten track. Escape Montevideo for the day visiting 1 or 2 family wineries for wine tasting with plenty of laughs in the Canelones countryside. Uruguay is one of the smallest producers of wine in South America and well-known for Tannat, which is the flagship grape of Uruguay.

If you prefer to focus on 1 winery this will be a very educational experience, where you will learn about the Tannat grape and greeted by a winery expert, who will be your guide at the winery. If you want to experience 2 completely different wineries, then we suggest picking this option, when you check-out. This is more focused on tasting different styles of wine. Both options include a lighter style lunch with tapas, cheeses, cured hams and empandas depending on the winery.

Our main goal is to offer you a personal and educational experience, which is perfect for beginners or more experienced wine lovers. You will get to see the winery, cellar and vineyards. It's perfect for honeymooners, couples, families or avid wine lovers who want to learn about Uruguay and their wines!
