The Temple of Heaven was the place where the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would worship Heaven and pray for good harvest.It covers a space of 273 hectares in all. Built first in 1420, the Temple of Heaven is a grand and magnificent masterpiece of architecture with a formal and solemn environment.

The Imperial Vault of Heaven sits to the south of the Altar of Prayer for Good Harvests connected by the Danbi Bridge, and sits to the north of the Circular Mound Altar. Facing south, it has a circular wall with three colored glazed gates. Founded in 1530, the 9th year of the reign of Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), it is the place for housing the Gods’ tablets to be used at the Ceremony of Worshiping Heaven. Its main building includes the Imperial Vault of Heaven, West Annex Halls and East Annex Halls. The most interesting features are the Echo Wall, Three Echo Stone and the Dialogue Stone.

The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest was where the the Ming and Qing emperors held ceremonies for good harvests in the first month of spring. It is the core structure of the Temple of Heaven and a landmark from Beijing's days as an ancient capital. Its original shape was rectangular reflecting "Respect to the Heaven and God". It was named "Great Prayer Hall" and was used for offering sacrifices to the heaven and earth.

Chinese Kungfu is good sports for young people. We teach the basic gesture and five stances form in the class which combines kicks, punches and joint locking.
