Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Petra

Stop At: Petra - Wadi Musa 77110 Jordan
Welcome to Petra, the ancient capital of the Nabateans and one of the 7 wonders of the world. On this day you will have a free time to wander around, explore the surrounding mountains or the ancient site of Petra. Later on you will meet your fellow hikers and your guide to brief you about the trek and prepare for your 6 days of adventure

Day 2: Petra to Gaa’ Mriebed

Stop At: Petra - Wadi Musa, Petra - Wadi Musa, Ma'an Governorate
An early morning gathering near Petra visitor center, once arrived we will start hiking through the amazing narrow gorge, passing all the highlights of the ancient capital of the Nabateans, the trail winds south following an ancient camels caravan routes passing by the impressive carved amphitheater of "Wadi Sabra" at which we will have a lunch\tea break, after we have had our break will continue following the ancient trading route passing through the impressive valley of Sabra, and the surrounding colorful sandstone mountains until we reach our camp in the wilderness of Gaa Mriebed mudflat. Distance: 22 km, Elevation gain\loss: 520+\830-

Day 3: Gaa' Mriebed to Wadi Al Saif

Stop At: Wadi Araba Desert, Jordan
An early morning breakfast at our camp, then we start trekking southwest to reach the colorful dark sandstone canyon of "Wadi Al 'Ursh" with its hidden oasis of poplar trees and oleander, then we will exit the canyon following a camel trail to enter the open valley of "Wadi Al Hor", we will enjoy the beautiful views as we make our way through the surrounding granite and colorful sandstone mountains, soon we will exit the wadi following a local camel trail that leads to "Wadi Al Saif" we will arrive the impressive boulder of "Wadi Al Saif" with its ancient "Thamudic" inscription where we will spend the night in our camp.

Day 4: Wadi Al Saif to Wadi Gseib

Stop At: Wadi Araba Desert, Jordan
Soon after leaving the camp, the trail rises up to pass a saddle descends to join "Wadi Mshazza". Once again in the midst of wild mountains, the trail now heads South over a low pass into the next valley, leaving that to cross another pass to reach the head of "Wadi Gseib". This descends generally South until we reach our camp.
Distance: 16 km, Elevation gain/loss: 100+/400-

Day 5: Wadi Gseib to Wadi Aheimer

Stop At: Wadi Araba Desert, Jordan
Leave "Wadi Gseib" campsite, re-entering the canyon for about a kilometer, where the route then makes its way back south into the mountains, following a donkey path. The path ascends into a beautiful colored canyon, reaching a viewpoint on top. Then, follow another descend into a sandstone canyon, to exit the canyon and continue south to encounter sand dunes. Stay south to reach the intersection of "Wadi Rakia" and "Wadi Aheimer", to reach our camping area and spend the rest of the night getting ready for our last day of the trip

Day 6: Wadi Aheimer to Humaima

Stop At: Wadi Rum, Wadi Rum, Al Aqabah Governorate
Set off by entering "Wadi Aheimer", one of the longest and yet most scenic wadis on the Jordan Trail. Trek almost 20 km along the canyon, encountering a change in geology moving from beautiful granite rock, to colorful sandstone, large boulders, water springs, wild vegetation, to extremely high cliffs, to then reach white chalky sandstone. Then continue north uphill along a donkey path, winding out of the valley, to arrive at "Al-Abbasiyah" village. After the long hike ends, we will meet our ride and drive to Wadi Rum to spend the night at a Bedouin camp

Day 7: Wadi Rum

Stop At: Wadi Rum, Wadi Rum, Al Aqabah Governorate
Wake up in the magical desert of Wadi Rum, after breakfast you will have free time to explore around, you can book camel rides, jeep tours, or hot air balloons. by noon time we will gather at camp to have our lunch and drive back to Petra
