Itinerary

Day 1: Activities in Arusha National Park

Stop At: Arusha National Park, Arusha National Park, Arusha Region
Pick up at 8:00 AM from your Hotel in Arusha & depart for Arusha National Park. Walking with an Armed Ranger, you will have picnic lunch and game drive in the Park. The park is at the base of Mount Meru, which is good for climbing. It has a range of habitats including forest – home to the black-and-white colobus monkey – and is excellent for birding. Several lakes often host flocks of flamingo. The park's appeal is mainly its scenery. The habitat diversity spans from montane (mountain) rain forest to moist savannah to alpine moorland. Post the game drive, you will head back to your camp/lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire - Game drives in Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch for full day game drive. Tanzania’s third largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centre piece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser Kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 3: Tarangire - Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National park for full day game drive with packed lunch via the remote South gate. After exploring the wildlife, birdlife and landscape of the park, you will be driven to the Ngorongoro Farm House.

Exploring Lake Manyara National Park presents the opportunity to sight the surprising habitat for lion prides that are renowned for lounging on the trees and spotting potential prey on the grassy shores of the lake. On the dry land, large herds of buffalo, Maasai Giraffe and impala are common sightings and photographing. Bird watching is superb around the park which has a myriad of shimmering flamingos and other species spotted around the soda lake.

Day 4: Tarangire to Serengeti - Game drives in Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never-ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be done during the day long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park - Full day game drives

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
Starting your full day game drive by 8 AM after a filling breakfast, you will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti - known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off season of the migration, one must really look out for the many lion prides that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion prides provide an excellent game viewing experience all year round. Along with a picnic lunch during the full day game drive, the day will come to a close by around 5PM. The long day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro and descend to the crater floor for game drive(5 hours). You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater, the day will come to a close. Freshly made delicious dinner is kept ready for you at your chosen accommodation. All these days of the safari, will have you quite tired and a good rest is essential. The next day you will begin the last leg of your safari.

Day 7: Ngorongoro – Arusha

Stop At: Arusha, Arusha, Arusha Region
After a relaxed breakfast, you head to Arusha.
Your driver/guide will take care of your transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport. If you are not ready to go home, you can continue your holiday in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya or visit one of the Tropical Islands with Vimat Safaris

if time allows, after breakfast, we will drive to mto wa mbu for a morning cultural tour and walking safari. We will have a sumptuous local lunch as we take in the stunning views hovering us. An optional mountain biking activity can be arranged at an added cost $25 per person
