Our international airport is situated on Reyknanes peninsula.

yet most our visitors drive straight to the city without experiencing the magic of this youngest part of our country and this is the place where we can basically walk over the bridge between two continents, from North America to Europe. The crack that goes through the Island starts right here. It is ideal to visit the Blue Lagoon on this route.

We will visit Gunnuhver, Brimketill as well as Reykjanesviti lighthouse where the Atlantic ridge rises above sea-level. It is ideal to stop at the small village named Grindavík where people have depended on fishing for centuries.

On our way back we can drive through Hafnarfjörður which is known for being the town of the hidden people. During the summer a Viking festival takes over this little town where people gather from the Nordic country’s all dressed up as Vikings.
