After a quick how-to on our fun-to-ride electric Mountain bikes, we will begin the gradual climb of the gravel Historic Railroad Trail that hugs the hills on the southern shoreline of vast Lake Mead. The rail trail offers panoramic views of the manmade lake and snakes through five railroad tunnels on its way toward Hoover Dam. This trail is an 8.2-mile out-and-back ride, however, it will be based on the riders ability and skill levels.

The Historic Railroad Trail hugs the hills on the southern shoreline of vast Lake Mead. The rail trail offers panoramic views of the manmade lake and snakes through five railroad tunnels on its way toward Hoover Dam.

Stop At: Lake Mead National Recreation Area, 10 Lakeshore Rd, NV 89005

Lake Mead is a reservoir formed by the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River in the Southwestern United States. It is located in the states of Nevada and Arizona, 24 mi east of Las Vegas. It is the largest reservoir in the US in terms of water capacity

Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
