The Majestic Edinburgh Castle which sits atop the vent of Edinburgh ancient volcano overlooks the city and can be seen from most points on the walking tour!
Stop At: 21 Grassmarket Old Town, Edinburgh EH1 2HS Scotland
The Grassmarket is the part of Edinburgh's Old Town where livestock (cattle and horses) were bought and sold back in the 15th Century.
The Tolbooth is situated at the Northern end of The Grassmarket and adjacent to this was The Gallows where many an unfortunate native of the city was hanged for the least transgression.
Today the Grassmarket is one of the main tourist areas with great hotel, pub and restaurant facilities
Some of these pubs commemorate some of the character's associated with the Gallows namely Maggie Dickson whose story will shock and amaze you.
The Tour starts and ends at The Beehive Inn which is situated at the south end of The Grassmarket

Stop At: Castlehill, East of the Esplanade and west of Lawnmarket, Edinburgh Scotland
Castlehill is the top portion of the Royal Mile connecting Lawnmarket with Edinburgh Castle Esplanade.
The tour will proceed from Victoria Terrace onto Castlehill and then turn right into Ramsay Lane which leads down onto The Mound.
From here you will see panoramic views of Princes Street Gardens including the Scott Monument and beyond toward the Firth of Forth and Fife!
