Rice Noodle Making:
Not all rice noodles are alike—Khmer rice noodles are distinct from rice noodles in neighboring countries! Khmer noodles are made from a unique rice grain with a special texture. It is commonly served in a cold soup made of Cambodian herbs and flavors, unlike anything else. At the rice noodle factory, you will learn about Cambodia’s special rice noodle tradition.
Bamboo Sticky Rice Cake:
Our next stop is a local manufacturer of rice cakes, which are made from bamboo sticky rice. Your guide will explain the process of making the bamboo rice cake, and you will also have a chance to try it.
Samrong Knong Wat :
This is a really beautiful memorial to the 10,000 people who lost their lives at the hands of the Khmer Rouge in the Battambang area. Definitely worth a visit; it doesn't take long to see, but you could stay for as long as you like.

Rice Paper Making: Battambang rice paper is a uniquely local product. At our visit to the rice paper factory, you will observe how locals make rice paper and get to join in on the action! You will also have the opportunity to sample delicious fresh and fried rice paper spring rolls.

Rice Wine Distillation: It is Khmer tradition to relax after work with friends and some delicious rice wine fermented with herbs and fruit. Battambang has its own special local rice wine recipe. During our visit to the rice wine distillery, your guide will show you how local rice wine is infused and processed by the local people.

Stop At: Wat Ek Phnom, Battambang Cambodia
Dried Banana: We will then cycle to visit a local family that makes dried banana chips, a well-known and delicious traditional snack in the village. You will learn how dried banana chips are made and get a chance to try your hand at thin-slicing a banana. You will have time to interact with locals and learn about their daily lives and the local traditions of Cambodia from your local tour guide.
Temple worth visiting despite its remote location:
This is an older Hindu temple next to a more modern one and a mostly finished Buddha. This is a unique opportunity to see, touch, and feel an old temple from the 10th centuryis is a unique opportunity to see, touch, and feel an old temple from the 10th century. A beautiful, more contemporary temple on the same grounds is worth a look too for the intricate craftsmanship of the carvings and paintings.
