Stop At: Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania

Depart from your Sorrento hotel in the morning for your private day trip to the Amalfi Coast on the back of a classic Vespa. Cruise along the southern side of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula as your guide safely maneuvers you around the extraordinary curves of this UNESCO World Heritage–listed coast. Strap on your helmet and adjust your shades as you capture memories of this famous coastline.

Stop At: Sorrento, Sorrento, Province of Naples, Campania

Ease into your Vespa ride exploring Sorrento, a charming town famous for limoncello and views of the Bay of Naples, where it is said that the Roman emperor Caligula built a bridge of boats across the bay and rode across in a chariot. In the distance, see the island of Capri and Mt Vesuvius.

Stop At: Positano, Positano, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania

Then, venture with your guide to Positano, a former fishing village that acted as a port of the Amalfi Republic in medieval times. Now it’s full of dazzling restaurants and cliffside hotels. Dismount here for a stroll and marvel at the steeply stacked houses cascading down to the ocean.
Enjoy a break for cake and coffee an hour into the tour, and then continue to the town of Amalfi, the former trading power in the Mediterranean in the 9th and 10th centuries. At lunch time, grab a traditional Italian meal at a local restaurant in the lovely Atrani (own expense) to enjoy the most genuine traditional Mediterranean cuisine.

Stop At: Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto), Spiaggia Grande, Positano Italy

Finally visit the famous Emerald Grotto (own expense), a network of emerald caves located in Cape Conca, where the water’s other-worldly colors are determined by the unique lighting conditions in each particular cave.
When the time comes, glide back to Sorrento where a handmade, local artisan gift awaits your return.

PS - In case of pick-up in Amalfi: Transfer from Sorrento to Amalfi at the end of the tour is not included (you can organize it by yourself or ask us for a quotation)

Il tour attraversa sulla "due ruote" più famosa d'Italia le curve panoramiche della strada della Costiera tra i colori ambrati della montagna e il turchese del mare cristallino.
Lungo il percorso ci si fermerà in prossimità di meravigliose terrazze a picco sul mare per ammirare la splendido panorama che si estende a perdita d'occhio. Sarà questa l'occasione per la guida per raccontare la leggenda delle Sirene tramutate in rocce e l'affascinante storia del luogo.
