The Thai cooking class starts at the local Khao Lak market. Here you will choose the ingredients for your Thai dishes, learn about Thai herbs and spices and catch a glimpse of the daily hustle and bustle of local market life.

It's time to prepare and cook your dishes. This is where the fun really begins. The cooking chef Apple will teach you how to prepare your ingredients the Thai way. Starting with basic curry pastes and Thai seasonings, then cooking techniques before finally creating your impressive Thai meal.

After learning to cook your Thai food there is one more important step in creating a Thai meal to impress your friends. You need to present it in an appetising manner and you will even learn some simple food carving tricks. Then you all dine together in true Thai style and try all the other delicious dishes the class has cooked. I’m getting hungry just thinking about this.

All the fresh ingredients which are used for the Khao Lak Thai cooking class are sourced locally, fresh from the daily market. You will shop with no-plastic bags. Any left over food waste is turned in compost which is used in the herb garden at Riverside.

• Morning Cooking Class - Visit a local fresh market in Khao Lak before starting to prepare your favourite dish. In every class Thai spring rolls are always included.
• Afternoon Course with Sweet Thai Dessert - The afternoon class is without the market tour. Instead you will learn how to make a sweet dessert with Banana in Coconut Milk.
