Discover the significance of American culture in London from the comfort of a private London Black Taxi. I have been a London Taxi Driver since 1994 and I am also a qualified taxi guide. 

See parts of London you may not have known about. Be amazed at just how much American influence there is to be seen in London and discover hidden gems that time has forgot.

The tour focuses on two broad areas.

• The Thames in the east of the city features the beginnings of the 13 colonies from 1606: On the south side, we will visit the iconic Mayflower and travel around London’s Blackwall, Rotherhithe and the pretty Shad Thames moving to the other side of the river to explore trendy Wapping and the City.

• St. James’s and Mayfair in the West highlight the beginnings of the nation of the United States from the 1770s. We will visit the former home of one of the Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin. I will show you where the ratification of the Treaty of Paris was signed, and so much more.

Your guide will park nearby and walk you through the streets of colonial American history


Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Charing Cross, London England

You will visit the site of Ben Franklin's home and the church of St. Martin in the fields


Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Aldwych Area, London England

'Let us not forget' - You will visit the memorial of all US Air men lost in the second world war -


Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Smithfield Market, 225 London Central Markets, London EC1A 9LH England

You'll visit The Holy Sepulchre Church,a treasure trove of rich American history from 1606


Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Tower Bridge Road, London SE1 2UP England

You will visit the surrounding areas of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge which is bursting with varied American history


Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Shadwell Basin, Wapping, London England

You will be taken to the birthplace and christening site of the founding 'mother'


Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Blackwall Tunnel, Under The Thames River, London England

You will go where the people went before you in 1606

Stop At: St Mary's Rotherhithe, St marychurch street, London England

The site of the Mayflower's first leg of its epic voyage is where we'll end the tour.
