Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda Trek offer you an excellent journey to Langtang Valley and Holy Gosaikunda Lake which includes magnificent landscapes in complete harmony with nature and in the laps of the high central Himalayan range of mountains. This adventure leads to fascinating green valleys & gorges while offering you the time to marvel the traditional culture & Buddhist religion and discover the pristine forest. This is also the area of the elusive Red Pandas and trekking in the close backdrop of the high Langtang Lirung & Jugal mountain range with beautiful holy Lake Gosaikunda.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)

Pass By: Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, a representative from Community Trek will pick us up from the airport and take us to our hotel. In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members. We can use this time to ask any questions about our trip to the management and trek leader.

Day 2: Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m)

Pass By: Langtang Valley, Langtang National Park Nepal
After morning breakfast we drive out in direction of the north-western hills of Kathmandu. Enjoy the Himlayan views and mountainous lifestyle through the terraced fields and rustic villages’ views and explorations. We will have Lunch at the Trishuli Bazar before continuing further to Dhunche. From Dhunche, we will descend down to Syabrubesi.

Day 3: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m)

Pass By: Langtang Valley, Langtang National Park Nepal
This is our first day of trekking and it starts by following the Langtang Khola River before Passing through dense forests and Cross several suspension bridges. We also pass by tea houses. The trail goes up and down but it’s not that challenging.

Day 4: Trek to Langtang village (3,430m)

Pass By: Langtang Valley, Langtang National Park Nepal
After taking morning tea, we will embark to our second day of the journey. Our trail continues along with dense forests. After making a steady climb up through the valley, we will be leaving the tree line behind us. Enjoy the marvellous views of Langtang Lirung. Pass by water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them.

Day 5: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)

Pass By: Kyanjin Gompa, Langtang National Park 44600 Nepal
After taking morning tea and breakfast, we will head out of the village and pass on through yak pastures before passing by the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers scripted on it. The prayers written on the mani wall are supposed to be blown away by the wind. After that, we will Cross several wooden bridges. Since, we are really getting into the high altitudes, you might start feeling the thin air. Kanjin Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas all around. You can take a walk around Kanjin Gompa while enjoying the views of glaciers, icefalls, birds and yaks.

Day 6: Visit to Tserko Ri and trek back to Lama Hotel

Pass By: Langtang Valley, Langtang National Park Nepal
In the early morning, we will visit Tserko Ri (5000m/16,404ft) for the sunrise views beside the mountains. After breakfast, we will proceed to Lama Hotel. Since it's mostly downhill, it is 4/ 5 hours walk from Kanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel. The trail goes all the way downhill through forest following the river. Pass through the ethnic Tamang settlements who follow religious and cultural practices similar to the Tibetans.

Day 7: Trek to Thulo Syabru (2,720m)

Pass By: Langtang Valley, Langtang National Park Nepal
The trek today follows the same route for an hour, then after the bridge the walk is pleasant through the rain and bamboo forest, after leaving the river down below, the climb starts uphill through the landslide area of rocks and boulders, passing through farm terraces till upper Syabru is reached; rows of houses that look like a locomotive train perched on a ridge. Syabru has a monastery near its helipad just a few minutes up from the village.

Day 8: Trek to Singh Gompa (3,250m)

Pass By: Langtang Valley, Langtang National Park Nepal
The walk from here follows the winding uphill trail above the Monastery, as the trek gains more height, superb views of Ganesh-Himal, Manaslu, Langtang and Annapurna range in the far west can be seen as we reach higher ground. after a few refreshing stops in the teahouses en-route, our journey continues an hour uphill from the farmlands into the cool shade of alpine forest, once out of the thick forest, we come to a meadow with one or two teahouses, a lunch break can be had here depending on the availability of clean fresh water. From this spot, the walk is almost gradual with good walking through the pines and rhododendron forest with views of Dhunche town down below. On arriving at Singh gompa, the first few houses make up a cheese processing factory, & this is where we do our overnight camp near the serene Monastery.

Day 9: Trek to Gosainkunda Lake (4,380m)

Pass By: Gosainkunda, Rasuwa District, Langtang National Park Nepal
The trek today offers more spectacular views of an array of snow peak ranges that round of Lantang to the north and Ganesh-Himal range north west along with Manaslu and Annapurna range due west, the walk is gradually up in the beginning for an hour, as we enter the woodland of oaks, pines and rhododendron after being in the cool shade of the forest, we come to a clearing where one or two teahouses are located, after a brief stop here with exceptional views of the Langtang range, the trail continues uphill leaving the tree-lines and lush vegetation behind for dwarf rhododendron, juniper, and alpine shrub bushes. The walk climbs uphill passing through a few teahouses at Laurebina, with more views of the north western Himalayan range, after Laurebina, which means a place of walking sticks, which means during the auspicious times in and around August in the full moon as per the Nepali Lunar calendar, pilgrims come to pay homage and where a ritual bath at Gosainkund pond delivers a paradise for pilgrims to drink of its holy water for which the legend says it relinquishes the sins of a hundred lifetimes and the Hindu pilgrims come here to change their holy threads, too.

Day 10: Trek to Ghopte (3,530m) (8-9m)

Pass By: Gosainkunda, Rasuwa District, Langtang National Park Nepal
Today we go over the Laurebina la highpass into the scenic Helambu region From Gosainkunda lake.The path first descends from the lodges to the lake,we walk along the northern shore to start of the walk up to Laurebina La the climb starts with stone steps to a water spring , walking further the path continues steeper upwards and on a small plateau (4530m ) to the right we follow a traverse below a minor peak (4680m) here on your left side we will see Suryakund Lake then the path leads through a ragged plateau (4600 – 4650m)and we reach the Laurebina La Pass which is marked with a stone stupa and a lot of praying flags this the highest point of our Langtang Trek we then descent through a wide valley to High Camp (4240 m) and walk further down on a steeper and rocky path to Phedi right after Phedi is a very steep descent to a footbridge across a stream . From Phedi to Gopte is a demanding traverse and after a long ascent we finally descend to the lodges at Ghopte (3430m) at mountain Lodge

Day 11: Trek to Kutumsang (2,470m)

Pass By: Gosainkunda, Rasuwa District, Langtang National Park Nepal
Today we walk on a challenging train passing through groves of juniper as well as rhododendron and pine in a remote, unpopulated area before we reach the peaceful highland setting of Tharepati from Tharepati the path descends gently through forrest on the western slope of a ridge, after walking for awhile the trail goes directly on the ridge we will then pass a large meadow with ruins of shepherd’s huts. we will also get to see Gangchempo and Dorje Lakpa peaks then the descent gets steeper and leads through a forest to Magin Goth (3265m) After a short walk we will pass Kuala Bhanjyang (3335 m) and go on a long descent through a rhododendron forest to finally reach the village of Kutumsang (2470m) at mountain Lodge.

Day 12: Trek to Chisopani (2,295m)

Pass By: Langtang Valley, Langtang National Park Nepal
From Kutumsang we ascent . We traverse Jogin Danda ridge up to pass at 2570
then steeply descent to village Gul Bhanjyang (2140m) from Gul Bhanjyang we had climbed over Thorong Danda (2500m)to a dusty wide road from here the path to Chipling village is very steep and rocky We drop down steadily to descent to Pati Bhanjyang(1760m) which is a village between Chipling and Chisopani .after walking half an hour from here we reach Chisopani,with a spectacular panorama of the mountains to the north.

Day 13: Trek to Sundarijal and Drive to Kathmandu

Pass By: Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
From Chisopani , the viewpoint, upon waking up allows us to enjoy a marvelous sunrise on the Himalaya.After a few minutes walk after Chisopani we reach the Shivapuri National Park checkpoint the we return back 28 meters and take a wide road leading down the hill, then on a paved path up the hill. Eventually walking past water reservoirs and large water pipes we reach Sundarijal (1460m) where we say goodbye to the trails and find transport back to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure Day

Pass By: Tribhuvan International Airport, Ring Rd, काठमाडौँ 44600, Nepal
Your adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! A representative from Community Trek will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your way home you’ll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
