Book direct and save. This is our flagship bike tour and a great tour to see the "best of Portsmouth and New Castle Island." Enjoy the pristine views of the Piscataqua River and Atlantic Ocean. We’ll bike through islands off of Portsmouth, in gardens, parks and over to New Castle Island to see the Ocean, lighthouses and forts. You’ll see the best of the area by bike. Stop en route to hear some interesting stories and fun facts about the area. An expert tour guide will point out all the highlights and sites along the way.
Join us as we get off the beaten path and beyond the hustle and bustle of Market Square. This tour is 8-10 miles and easy-intermediate riding. Arrive 30 minutes prior to tour start time at the Historic John Paul Jones House. Tours leave on time! Please arrive at your assigned time. You'll hear a safety briefing, get fitted to a 21-speed bike, helmet & vest. 9+yr must be expert. e-bikes are available on our site.

We'll stop to speak about the Historic Hotel
Duration: 8 minutes
Stop At: Four Tree Island, Four, 4 Tree Island, Portsmouth, NH 03801, USA
We`ll make a brief stop to discuss the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and the famous Piscataqua River.

Stop At: Great Island Common, 301 Wentworth Rd, New Castle, NH 03854-3007
Briefly stop to talk about the 7 forts, Isle of Shoals and anything else that catches our attention.

We'll briefly talk about "Live Free or Die" Captain John Stark and the first settlement.

We’ll hear a story about James Kelly’s Statue of Major General Fitz John Porter and how he was court-martialed for not leading 10,000 men into what he considered a bloodshed during the 2nd Battle of Bill Run.
