Stop At: Lawrence's Spring, Wadi Rum Jordan
Lawrence Spring -
After meeting you in Wadi Rum village, we set off on our jeep tour, and our first stop is Lawrence Spring.
Known by locals as Ain Abu Aineh, Lawrence Spring is located a short walk up the mountain (Jebel Rum) from where we stop, and you are welcome to follow the pipeline and hike up to the spring. There are spectacular views from there. The pipeline brings water down to a long water trough where camels come to drink. Nearby is a large rock with ancient hieroglyphs written by the Nabateans who lived in the area about 300 B.C.

Stop At: Wadi Rum Protected Area, Wadi Rum Jordan
Red Sand Dunes -
We next drive to the Red Sand Dunes. It is a high dune of beautiful soft red sand. You can climb to the top of the dune where there is a rocky plateau with panoramic 360 degree views of a large open area of desert, surrounded by three mountains - Jebel Rum, Um Ishrin, and Jebel Khazali.
Duration: 50 minutes
Stop At: Jebel Khazali, Wadi Rum Jordan
Khazali Canyon -
We stop near Khazali Canyon, and take a few minutes walk to a small split in the mountain of Khazali, which opens to a high-walled canyon. Sunlight filters down between the canyon walls, showing all the shades of pink and brown and grey on the rock walls. There are three rocks pools about 20 metres into the canyon, dry in summer, and full of water after the occasional rain in the winter months.
Khazali Canyon is famous for the variety of rock art and inscriptions found there - carved by the peoples who have lived in the area over the centuries - Thamudic, Arab, and Nabatean. There are petroglyths of humans, animals, and footprints. Also Kufic writing, an early Arabic script, is inscribed on the walls.

Stop At: Little Bridge, GCCV+64W, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan
Little Rock Bridge -
Also known as Little Arch. Next we stop near a small rock outcrop, and it is an easy walk up to the rock bridge. This is a great place for photographs standing on the centre of the bridge.
Note: Littie Rock Bridge is located in the desert, not in Wadi Rum village as Viator has written as the only option for the address.
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Lawrence's House, Wadi Rum Village, Wadi Rum Jordan
Lawrence House -
Lawrence House is located about 10 minutes drive to the south-east from Little Rock Bridge, far into the Wadi Rum desert. The house is thought to be first built on top of Nabetean ruins, and there is a small Nabatean inscription on the rocks close by. It is reported, but not known for sure, that T. E. Lawrence (of Lawrence of Arabia fame) stayed at this house during his time living with Bedouin in the Wadi Rum area.
Looking from the house towards the northeast the view extends for many kilometres along the valley floor, and turning to the south there is an even more distant view. It's easy to imagine that this was a great strategic lookout point for both the Nabatean of thousands of years ago, and Lawrence and the Bedouin tribes during the Arab revolt against the Turks of a 100 years ago.
Today there is just the remains of the house and the silence of the desert.

Lunch stop -
In the middle the day we stop for lunch. We will find a cool place to stop if you visit during the summer months. Your guide will prepare your food fresh, cooking galayet bandora over a fire, and serving it with a variety of dishes - including hummus, tomatoes and cucumbers, bread, and more.
You will have time to relax, and also explore the area.
Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes
Stop At: Mushroom Rock, GF9V+6CC, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan
Mushroom Rock -
Our first stop after lunch is Mushroom Rock, located far in the desert, (not in the village). This is one of the many intriguing rock formations that are found throughout the Wadi Rum desert. As the name suggests, the rock looks like a mushroom, and lends itself to great photo opportunities, as you experiment with "holding up" this enormous rock.
Duration: 35 minutes
Stop At: Burdah Rock Bridge, FFFX+CX7, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan
Burdah Rock Bridge -
Our next stop is near Burdah Rock Bridge. This rock arch is part of the Burdah mountain range and towers 300m above the valley floor. Although we do provide a full day tour that includes a hike to the top and down again, on this tour we do not climb up to the arch, but we stop and view the arch from the other side of the valley floor far below.
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Abu Khashaba Canyon, FFVC+95J, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan
Abu Khashaba Canyon and sand dunes -
Abu Khashaba Canyon -
One of the highlights of your day is the walk through Abu Khashaba Canyon. We shop the jeep and show you the entrance of the canyon, and then your guide will drive around the mountain to the other end of the canyon, and wait for you there. The hike is easy with a short rocky part in the middle. The duration will be about 35 minutes, or less time for very fit people. But it's good to take your time, and enjoy the trees and the cool temperatures.
Abu Khashaba sand dunes -
Near where you emerge from the canyon there is a sand dune that is perfect for sand boarding. We provide a sand board for you (at no charge) and let you have fun in the sand.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Um Frouth Rock Arch, FC9X+GM4, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan
Um Frouth Rock Bridge -
Another great place and a favourite attraction on our itinerary, and the final rock arch we visit on this tour. It's in the white desert, and from where we stop the jeep, Um Frouth is almost invisible with so many similar-coloured rocks in the background. Most people are able to climb to the top, and even walk across the bridge.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Chicken Rock, F9FR+CMP, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan
Chicken Rock -
This is another interesting rock formation that from one direction closely resembles a chicken. Some see a cow when they look at it. You decide.
Soft Sand Dunes -
Nearby is a large sand dune (free-standing, not against a mountain) that is made of very soft sand. The wind makes beautiful designs and ripples in the sand on this dune, and the tracks of small beetles and lizards are clearly visible, and make for great photographs.

Stop At: Real Bedouin Experience Tours & Camp, Wadi Rum Protected Area Wadi Rum, Jordan
Sunset viewing and Overnight stay - includes dinner and breakfast.
A few minutes drive from Chicken Rock we arrive at our camp - the final stop of the day - in time to view the sunset. This is where you will spend your evening and overnight.
Our camp is located in the Um Sabatah area of the Wadi Rum desert, famous for spectacular sunsets. Relax with a cup of Bedouin tea in our dining tent, sit in the red sands a little further away, or climb the small mountain behind our camp. Each place provides panoramic sunset views.
After dinner, we sit back on comfortable mats around a fire, in our Bedouin tent (in winter) or outside under the star-filled sky (in summer), and enjoy tea and conversation, singing and dancing, and counting the shooting stars. We talk about our Bedouin culture and answer your questions about desert life. When tired, you can retire to your tent for a restful sleep in the quiet of the desert.
We return to Wadi Rum village by 8.30am next morning.
