Stop At: Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud 80571 Indonesia

The Ubud Monkey Forest is a nature reserve and temple complex in Ubud, Bali. It houses approximately 340 monkeys which are known as long-tailed Macaques (Macaca fascicularis). There are four groups of monkeys each occupying different territories in the park. The Sacred Monkey Forest is a popular tourist attraction in Ubud and is often visited by over 10,000 tourists a month.

Stop At: Tegalalang Rice Terrace, Jalan Raya Ceking, Tegalalang 80517 Indonesia

Tegallalang Rice Fields is situated in a valley that offers extraordinarily scenic lookouts over the terraces and surrounding green landscape. Along with the ones in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan, Tegallalang Rice Fields form the three most stunning-looking terraced landscapes in Ubud region.

The spectacular mountainous region around Kintamani with its deep Crater Lake and bubbling hot springs, make this region a must to visit.

Tirta Empul is a temple considered sacred by Balinese Hindu community. The temple has several holy springs which are said to have been created by The God Indra and believed to be blessed water that could purify those who bathe there. Tirta Empul is dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu God of water. In the Balinese language, Tirta Empul loosely translated means water gushing from the earth, which for this reason Tirta Empul is regarded as a holy spring. The Tirta Empul Temple includes shrines to Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, as well as one for Indra and Mount Batur. It is considered one of the five most holy temples in all of Bali and is considered one of the holiest water sources in Bali.

The stunning Tukad Cepung cave waterfall is one of the best waterfalls in Bali, Indonesia, and is a great place to visit on a day trip from Ubud. Tirta Gangga Water Park is a beautiful traditional water park with a huge of water fountain and wide pond located at Abang Sub-district, Karangasem Regency in east part of Bali. It is one of Karangasem Empire heritage set secluded between the green hills, rice paddy and surrounded by fresh atmosphere. Furthermore, Tirta Gangga Water Park is built in 1948 by the Karangasem King of Anak Agung Agung Angluerah Ketut Karangasem. Previously, there is a big wellspring in this area and the local people believe that the waters are the holy spring. Therefore, they call this place is Embukan means wellspring. They also believe that this wellspring as a pool for the god and also as drinking water resources. Moreover, the local people has sacrificed it and keeps the park naturally. Afterward, the King of Karangasem restore this park to be good looking and now becomes a famous tourist destination.

Set within the highlands of the mountainous Bedugul Regency in Bali, atop a plateau that sits on Lake Beratan, stands the majestic Ulun Danu Temple. In the mild, mountain weather, approximately 1,500 meters above sea level, the air is crisp and cool. The stunningly clear lake is calm and almost perfectly still, save for the soft breeze that occasionally sweeps across, creating tiny ripples upon its surface. A thin mist rises from the lake and hangs in the air, surrounding the temple, giving it a somewhat surreal appearance.

Banyumala Twin Waterfall is one of the beautiful Bali waterfalls, so it can’t be missed on your Bali itinerary! The perfect veil like twin curtains along the rocks and a natural plunge pool to take a dip in are some of the reasons why a visit to this waterfall is recommended. The Banyumala waterfall is located in the north and could easily be combined with a visit to Banyu Wana Amertha waterfall which is very close.
