Stop At: Petra - Wadi Musa 77110 Jordan
Traveling from Amman to Petra is a journey that will take you through some of Jordan's most beautiful and historic landscapes. From Amman to the city of Petra, which is located about 260 km south of Amman. The journey typically takes around 3. 5 hours with a 15-20mins break half way. Once you arrive in Petra, you can begin your visit by walking through the Siq, a narrow gorge that leads to the Treasury, also known as Al Khazna. The walk through the Siq is a unique experience as the walls of the gorge rise up high on either side, and the colors and textures of the rock change as you walk deeper into the gorge. The Treasury, or Al Khazna, is the most iconic and recognizable structures in Petra. It is a beautifully carved facade that is believed to have been the main entrance to the ancient city and is thought to have been used as a royal tombs. Than the travel walk back to the visitor center and meets up with our driver for a 3.5hrs back to Amman.
