Welcome to the heart of one of the oldest cities in Europe! Together with your guide, you will cross the heart of the historic center of Naples: from Piazza Bellini, you will pass by the Conservatory of Naples, with the good fortune of being accompanied by the tests of young Neapolitan musicians. You will continue towards Via dei Tribunali, the Decumano Maggiore of ancient Neapolis, but also one of the most lively and rich streets of Naples. You will immediately encounter the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Pietrasanta, with its ancient Romanesque bell tower and the Pontano Chapel, a jewel of the Neapolitan Renaissance. You will deviate to Cappella Sansevero, a treasure chest of the magnificent Veiled Christ, famous throughout the world. You will return to via dei Tribunali, stopping in one of the most mystical and fascinating places of the city: the hypogeum of the church of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio in Arco, where one of the oldest and longest-lived cults of Neapolitan devotion was born. The Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore, an Angevin jewel that still makes the early Christian foundation of the city visible, concludes with the Duomo: a few steps from its white imposing façade, you will enter a place where all the Neapolitan periods, from the late Gothic Angioino, overlap until the Baroque ... On a journey between ex voto and shrines, the most important for all the Neapolitans will stand out: the ampulla with the blood relic of San Gennaro, the patron saint of the city.
