Great Mayan Birdwatching near Valladolid-Half Day
Combined experience on bird watching and Mayan culture.
You will have the opportunity to meet a great diversity of birds; some endemic such as: Orange-backed Calandria (Orange Oriole), Yucatecan Jay (Yucatan Jay), Yucatecan Woodpecker (Yucatan Woodpecker), Yucatecan Piranga (Rose-throated Tanager) and other migratory and resident species. But at the same time you will get to know and learn about the way of life of the contemporary Mayans, by getting to know a rural community and an ancient temple unique in its style, that is why we call this experience the Great Mayan Birdwatching.

Itinerary
This trip does not include transportation, but if the traveler has one, the guide can travel in the same vehicle as the client.
The meeting and departure point will be at 5:30 a.m. The guide will meet the travelers at the hotel where they are, or at a strategic point that is beneficial to both parties.
6:10 a.m.- Arrival at the first site of interest for bird watching (hotspot), which is the road to Tzucmuc, a site that departs from Valladolid, is 12 km before Chichen Itza. In this part, bird watching is with the vehicle (safari type).
9:30 a.m.- Arrive at the second site of interest for bird watching (Amazili Natural Reserve), this next point is after the community of Tzucmuc. Bird watching in this part is on foot along the trails of the Amazili Reserve.
11:30 a.m.- Departure to Kaua, place for the gastronomic tasting of typical dishes.
1:30 p.m. Visit to the Ex-Convent of Santo Domingo in Uayma.
2:15 p.m. Return to Valladolid.
