Thanh Toàn is a small village located 8km from Hue city center to the south direction. Because of the short distance, the village can be reached easily in many ways such as biking, motorcycle riding, car or even cyclo. The village still maintains green rice fields and vegetable gardens which give tourists a peaceful feeling when coming here. Some people visit Hue’s famous palaces, pagodas, and tombs on the first day and choose Thanh Toan for their second day in the city. Visiting the village is not only a sightseeing trip but also a chance for tourists to have closer exposure to the local life of Viet Nam in general and Hue in particular

Came here as part of a tour that it that this emperor 14 years to find the spot where he wanted his tomb to be built. It's said that all original buildings were destroyed in the war and had to be rebuilt. Also, no one exactly knows the exact location where the emperor is buried as the men who took him there then went home and killed themselves in his honor. This is a very beautiful spot.

As a massive work with high architectural value, Hue Citadel was built over a period of nearly 30 years - started in 1804 under the reign of King Gia Long and completed in 1833 under King Ming Mang. The construction is a unique combination of traditional Vietnamese architecture, Oriental philosophical ideology, and Yin-yang theory, influenced by a type of Western military architecture called Vauban.
Hue Imperial City was built in a square shape, arranged with 4 doors in 4 directions, of which the main one is Ngo Mon and the remaining three are Hoa Binh, Hien Nhon, and Chuong Duc. In addition, inside the Imperial Citadel, there are Thai Hoa Palace, Dien Tho Palace, and Hue Purple Forbidden City… which are divided into many different areas with different purposes. The entire inner construction system is arranged according to the symmetrical axis, in which the center is arranged mainly for the King.

Dong Ba Market is the Biggest and Oldest Market in Hue City. Under King Gia Long, it was located outside Chanh Chanh gate (Dong Ba gate) of Hue Citadel. After the events of the Hue citadel in 1885 when the French attacked Forbidden City, the market was destroyed by the French colonialists. In 1887, King Dong Khanh rebuilt and named Dong Ba.

Emperor Tomb of Tu Duc is located in a narrow valley of Duong Xuan Thuong village (currently Thuong Ba village, Thuy Xuan commune, Hue city). It was the place where he could retreat from the Citadel to compose poetry or go hunting because the monument was finished when the king was still in reign. The design of the tomb is said to clearly reflect the profound knowledge and romance of the king’s characteristics. With a 36-year reign, Emperor Tu Duc was the longest-reigning monarch compared to the other 13 Emperors of the Nguyen Emperor. Considered to be a kind-hearted king and a gentle poet as well, the Emperor ascended the throne in difficult social contexts with foreign invaders outside and fraternal dissension fighting each other for the throne.
