Learn to make pasta by hand with a professional chef as your guide. Your 3-hour cooking class teaches you the basics of cooking authentic Italian pasta that you can recreate in your own kitchen. The class takes place in a charming cooking school with state-of-the-art appliances in the heart of Rome's Trastevere neighborhood. There, meet your Italian chef and small group of fellow cooks (max 14 people) over an Italian aperitivo, a plate of cured meats and cheese with a glass of prosecco. Once you've relaxed, begin making fettuccine and ravioli from scratch with a traditional red and white sauce made with seasonal ingredients handpicked by your chef. As the pasta dries, take a break with a gelato-making demonstration. Finally, sit down to enjoy it with plenty of wine and homemade gelato to top it all off.
Description
Begin with a prosecco and aperitivo in charming Trastevere, a beloved Roman neighborhood. Greet your fellow travelers and cooks—this is a small group experience with no more than 12 participants. Your local chef will begin to act as a tutor and give you the fundamentals of creating incredible pasta from scratch. They will offer their tried-and-true tips passed down from generations of Italian families. As the pasta dries and settles, the chef will prepare your dessert: Italy's beloved gelato. Finally, enjoy your pasta with a perfectly paired wine before digging into the homemade gelato to finish things off. At the end of the 3 hours, you can choose to stay in the space with your new friends or venture out into the Roman night, exploring the nearby streets that make up lovely Trastevere.
