Stop At: Glenlara, Co. Mayo, Ireland
From the starting point in this remote village, the walk takes you out into the Atlantic Ocean with spectacular seascapes on all sides. We commence the walk by climbing the style that takes you over the sheep proof fence. A short climb gets your heart pumping and fills your lungs with wild Atlantic air. Some of the track is muddy but much of the very wet spots are crossed with a boardwalk. The Stags of Broadhaven can seen in the distance reminding us of the fact that they were formed almost 1.6 billion years ago. There are some great opportunities for fantastic photographs. Don't worry you will have plenty of time go get the shot that will remind you of a great day out.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Erris Head Loop Walk, Belmullet Ireland
The total distance for the walk is about 5km but there is plenty of time to stop and take in the variety of views of super seascapes on all sides. You will hear stories of tragedy and sadness along with stories of spectacular success from the region. Convivial conversation will help to pass the time as you admire the ever changing views.

Stop At: Gubastuckaun, Illandavuck, Co. Mayo, Ireland
The sheep and their cute lambs are a great photo opportunity while you hear how the ram 'covers' five sheep a day and loses 15% of his body weight in the process. The track levels out here and its a chance to catch your breath.

Stop At: Illandavuck, Co. Mayo, Ireland
The sea views continue to amaze as we approach the island (Illandavuck) at the top of Erris Head. Check out the Fulmars nesting on the cliffs opposite. As these birds spend most of their time at sea, their legs will not support their body weight. You will hear their distinct call as the swoop through are using the wind to assist them. From here a short climb takes us to the WW2 lookout post from where the coast watchers observed many instances from the Battle of the Atlantic and reported the resulting bodies that were washed ashore. Proceeding downhill we will see the Eire 69 sign, an impressive blowhole and a trig. pillar created by the ordinance survey.
