In This One Day Trip From Barcelona ( Montserrat Tour ), We Would pickup you up from your Hotel or Any Address in Barcelona and we will start our Montserrat Tour on a ride through the scenic landscapes of Catalonia .

Taking a direction to the southwest, First We would go through the Natural Park of Montserrat to visit sublime views and give you a brief explanation about the area and geographical information about the area .

Make sure to also keep your camera handy for great shots of the mountain's unique rock formations with Barcelona and Catalonia in the distance.

On the first stop of our day trip from Barcelona to Montserrat, We would stop at the station of the cable car (in Montserrat Mountain) which is another way to go up to the Monastery by passing the Llobregat river to reach an altitude near 4000 feet. This cable car started to work in 1930 and there are just 2 cabins that are working with a speed of 5 meters per second.
In your Free time, if you'd like, you can try this Cable Car with its spectacular view of Montserrat and the Monastery Area (a Cable Car Ticket is not included).

Next on This day trip to Montserrat, we would get to monastery area, which situated high above the city of Barcelona to explore one of Spain's most important religious sites at Montserrat Mountain together and talking about different routes in Montserrat and other pilgrim sites.

Here is a starting of our walking tour to visit the Famous Black Madonna of Montserrat, attend at Choir Performance of Montserrat Boy's and then check out the Royal Basilica of Montserrat that is situated adjacent to the monastery.

And then Spend some free time exploring the grounds at your leisure, stopping at the monastery gift shop for a tasting of four local liquors of Montserrat with a recipe of the monks ( tasting fee is included ).

We would attend a Choir performance in the Santa Maria Basilica of Montserrat. This would be the highlight of this day trip from Barcelona and you are hearing to the most famous Boys Choir Performance in Europe.
For skipping a line and being sure that you have a reserved seat in a Choir performance you need prior booking and it is included in this tour.

Another reason that Montserrat is listed in the top five attractions list of day trips from Barcelona is the existence of the statue of our lady Of Montserrat (Black Madonna) in the basilica which all the Monastery of Montserrat has been built in all around the statue.

It is one of the most famous Black Madonna in the world and its believed that originally carved in Jerusalem in the first century.

For visiting the statue and feeling it’s an undeniable spiritual power, we are going through all Santa Maria Basilica chapels to see the statue up close.

Stop At: Sant Jeroni, Montserrat Spain

Sant Jeroni is the highest peak (nearly 4000 feet) in Montserrat Mountain.
You can see a lot of rock formations and enjoy the views. if you like to go to Sant Jeroni you should take a funicular the Sant Joan which takes you up in the middle way to Sant Jeroni and over there you have a great top view also to the Monastery area. (admission fee is not included)

Stop At: Montserrat Museum, Montserrat Spain

During your free time, you will be able to visit the audiovisual exhibition and a museum which is designed by the architect Josep Puig I Cadafalch in 1929 as part of the general project to reform the Monastery squares.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Santa Cueva de Montserrat, Montserrat Spain

Standing to the legends the virgin has appeared in Santa Cueva De Montserrat and since that time become an authentic center for pilgrimages and prayers.
On this Day trip, you can look at this place from distance and if you are interested you can walk to (or take a funicular) and visit inside.
(Funicular ticket is not included).
