Itinerary
Day 1: Luxor - Esna
Pass By: Luxor, Luxor, Nile River Valley
Your discovery of Upper Egypt starts in the city of Luxor, ancient capital of the pharaonic kingdom. You will visit the West bank of the Nile at Luxor, where you will enjoy the sight of the two statues of Memnon on the way to the Valley of the Kings. In the Valley of the Kings you will visit three tombs, outstanding tombs carved into the desert rock, those discovered tombs has very rich decorations and were filled with treasures for the pharaoh’s afterlife. The trip will continue by a visit to Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. The queen Hatshepsut was the only female pharaoh, and the temple dedicated to her is as exceptional as she was, rising up in a series of terraces from the yellow desert. Then, visit Karnak and Luxor temple at the East Bank. The temple of Karnak was dedicated to God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, a great example of worship as it is the largest in history. Afterwards you will be transferred to Esna in order to join the boat.

Day 2: Esna - Edfu
Pass By: Temple of Horus, Adfo, Edfu Egypt
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure, sailing to Edfu, where you will arrive around noon time. Take a horse carriage to visit the temple of Horus, considered one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Two beautiful granite statues of the Falcon God Horus flank the entrance. After your visit to the temple, either ride or walk through the bazaar, this is an extensive bazaar where you can find souvenirs, spices and perfumes. Lunch on board. Continue sailing until Silsela Hormoheb Temple. Dinner will be served in the grounds of the Temple or in an island or on the upper deck of your dahabiya whilst soaking up the tranquil atmosphere with music to match the mood.

Day 3: Kom Ombo
Pass By: Kom Ombo, Kom Ombo, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
Breakfast at your leisure, sailing to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the temple of Sobek and Horus. This temple was built to honor the God of fertility Crocodile-headed Sobek, and the Falcon-headed Horus. Its uniqueness is revealed in its double entrance for both deities. Sailing heading to Aswan, listen to the sounds of the water buffalo as they wade in the shallow water besides the banks of the Nile, the donkeys as they go about their day to day business and the various bird life of the river. Overnight close to the doors of Aswan city.

Day 4: Aswan
Pass By: Unfinished Obelisk, Sheyakhah Oula, Aswan Egypt
Breakfast on board. Pick up by private bus to visit the Unfinished Obelisk. It's the opportunity to learn more about ancient Egyptian stone-working techniques. Then, visit the High Dam of Aswan, built in the 1960s. It was a great achievement of President Abdel-Nasser, and from the dam you can see Lake Nasser which was created after the dam was built. In the evening, stroll in Aswan Bazar and enjoy an Egyptian evening typical with Egyptian cuisine at this atmospheric location.

Day 5: Aswan - Disembarkation
Pass By: Aswan, Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
After breakfast, we bid farewell to the crew. Your luggage will be collected and will be ready for you to travel to your next destination.
