Itinerary
During our 2 hour cruise, we head up to Coffee Pot Bayou and stop by the bird sanctuary to spot Roseate spoonbill, Heron, Ibis, Pelican and Cormorant. Then we pass some of the largest and most expensive homes in St Petersburg while looking for dolphins. Before heading back, we go out in the Bay away from land and cut off the engine for a while, you can stick your feet in the water, watch the sunset or just relax and have a drink. Tubing is an option in lieu of cruising past the neighborhoods.
If you upgrade to a 3 hour trip, Bunces Pass is on the edge of the Gulf. Beautiful water on the edge of Fort Desoto, it is the most popular sandbar in the area among the locals.
If you upgrade to a 4 hour trip, Egmont Key is the ultimate boating destination. Ruins of an old town from the 1800s and inhabited by a large population of gopher tortoise, Egmont is a true tropical paradise. Explore or just hang at the beach.
