Your 90 minute narrated walking tour will give you the chance to Learn about the Erie Canal and the construction of the engineering marvel known as the Flight of Five Locks. Hear about the men who labored to lock through over 1,000 boats a year. Consider what life was like in the 1800's in the locks district. Marvel at the life-size bronze sculptures of our 19th Century Lockport Lock Tenders. *Be part of a team to open the 5 ton lock gates!
Tours are offered weekdays, Monday through Friday and start at 11 am. Social distancing standards will be adhered to and face masks will be provided. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Your tour will involve walking along the towpath next to the Historic Flight of Five Locks as you guide describes life in the canal district in the 1800's

Duration: 30 minutes
