The Hotel Barrière Le Normandy Deauville is a grand hotel of the Groupe Lucien Barrière at Deauville in Normandy. It was built as the Hôtel Normandy by François André in 1912.
It was used as the filming location of Agatha Christie's Poirot in the episode The Murder on the Links

On August 30th, 1864, the Duke of Morny solemnly laid the first stone of the Saint-Augustin church, built on a land acquired nine days before from the Société immobilière de Deauville. The church, built by architects Desle-François Breney and Anatole Jal at the middle of a walled garden, was blessed on July 30th, 1865 by the bishop of Bayeux. The cemetery is placed outside the borders of the new city, on the heights of Mont Canisy.

The Touques racecourse hosts most of these races during the year, thus gaining the “four season hippodrome” nickname. Its calendar includes 42 days exclusively dedicated to flat races, highlighting thoroughbred horses’ speed abilities. The prestigious Group 1 races and the training centre hosting 300 horses in winter and 600 in summer has attracted the best jockeys and international clients. Ten years ago, the Touques was the first racecourse to include a sand-fibre track, hosting races in winter, when the Normand fields are covered by snow. The turf track is used again when the nice season comes. In this period, the racecourse organizes several prestigious races including the Prix Rothschild, Maurice de Gheest, Jacques Le Marois, Morny, Jean Romanet… and to end the summer season, the Grand Prix de Deauville.

Protected under the title of historical monuments in 1975, this imposing mansion responds to a command from Baron Henri de Rothschild, a great lover of racing. The latter chose to settle near the racetrack. The villa is erected in 1907 at the location of the Coteau Farm, property of the family of Gustave Flaubert. She visits from June to September and by appointment. She can also be rented for private events.

Stop At: Tourgeville Military Cemetery, Chem. du Cimetière Militaire, 14800 Tourgéville, France
Created in 1918, the military cemetery of Tourgéville is owned by the commission of war graves of the Commonwealth, ensuring an extraordinary maintenance of this area. At the end of the war, France granted a permanent concession to this place and the British cemetery of Tourgeville was inaugurated in 1920*. At the beginning, it was destined to the burial of soldiers dead in the hospitals of the British Army established in Trouville-Deauville.

Designed by architects Jean Papet, author of several houses in Neuilly-sur-Seine, and André Rimbert, designer of the stands and the racecourse of Maisons-Laffitte, the Clairefontaine racecourse has a Norman style combining concrete and half-timbering.
Its regional inspiration is enhanced by the profusion of flowers decorating the façades, leading this place to be called “racecourse with 100,000 flowers” about 50 years ago by Léon Zitrone!

In 1912, Eugène Cornuché had this casino built by architect Georges Wybo. It is inaugurated on July 11, 1912.
A few days earlier, the same operator inaugurates the casino of Trouville-sur-Mer.
It is completely restored in baroque style by the architect designer Jacques Garcia in 1988.
On May 26, 1978, the casino is the scene of an attack whose authors are Jacques Mesrine and François Besse.
