Immersed in this fantastic setting is the El Yeso Reservoir, the main source of surface drinking water in the metropolitan region, whose waters are originated by snow and the melting of Andean glaciers.

In this magnificent setting of mountains, plains, glaciers, rivers and a reservoir, you can enjoy a tasty picnic with nuts, cheeses, olives, hams, etc. and of course excellent Chilean wine.

Leaving Santiago we take the El Volcán roat that goes into the Cajon del Maipo (Maipo River Valley), crossing small typical towns of no more than 500 inhabitants and following the Maipo river and then El Yeso river that descend from the glaciers Andean.

In this town, capital of the Cordillera province, we make a stop to visit the plaza (square), the church, have a coffee and continue.

Artificial water reserve accumulated through a dam located in the Andes mountain range.
Place where you will have 1 hour to walk and photograph. From here we will go to another place to taste Chilean wines and a picnic.
