Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech

Stop At: Jemaa el-Fnaa, 38 Jemaa el-Fna, Rue El Ksour, Marrakech Morocco
Arrive at any time, transfer to the hotel and meeting with your guide, after which we enjoy dinner around Jemaa el-Fna while listening to the many musicians of the square.

Day 2: Marrakech to Boumalne Dades

Stop At: Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou, Souss-Massa
We leave Marrakech and drive over the spectacular Tizi ‘n Tichka pass before arriving at the village of Aït Ben Haddou with its UNESCO heritage listed kasbah. Visit of Ait ben Haddou. Continue to Ouarzazate via the ‘Road of a 1000 Kasbahs’ and on to the Dades Valley.

Day 3: Boumalne Dades to Merzouga

Stop At: Todgha Gorge, Tinerhir 45824 Morocco
We drive from Dades to the Todgha Gorges, where you will enjoy a walk through this spectacular canyon. Continue to Merzouga, where you head out to the dunes to enjoy a camel ride and overnight in the desert camp. Tonight we hear different type of music, called Gnawa, slave music.

Day 4: Merzouga to Midelt

Stop At: Midelt, Midelt, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
We drive up to Midelt situated in the Middle Atlas, known by its apple trees. Midelt is very famous by its Berber singers playing an old instrument called lotar. We will be joining a band composed of chikhat (dancers) and musicians playing traditional Berber instruments and music.

Day 5: Fes

Stop At: Fes, Fes, Fes-Meknes
We continue our journey further north to Fes via Azrou, where we can have an idea about how lotar is made. An optional dinner tonight in a grand old Fes riad that has been converted into a spectacular restaurant. You will not only enjoy a delicious meal of local specialities, but also an evening of entertainment, such as singing, music and belly dancing.

Day 6: Midelt to Fes

Stop At: Kairaouine Mosque (Mosque of al-Qarawiyyin), Fes el-Bali Qayruwan quarters, Fes 30030 Morocco
Today we enjoy a half-day city tour, after which you will have some free time. We explore the medina’s many artisans’ quarters and the famous tanneries. We’ll also get to see its religious and historical heart when we visit Moulay Idriss II’s Mausoleum, the fourteenth-century Bou Inania Medersa and the ninth-century Al-Qarawiyyin mosque.

Day 7: Fes to Ben el Ouidane

Stop At: Bine el Ouidane, Bine el Ouidane, Beni Mellal-Khenifra
Drive via the Middle Atlas Mountains and its small Berber towns to the beautiful Ben el Ouidane dam in the High Atlas mountains. You will enjoy a night next to the lake in the mountains.

Day 8: Ben el Ouidane to Marrakech

Stop At: Ouzoud, Ouzoud, Beni Mellal-Khenifra
Drive from Ben el Ouidane to Marrakech, via the Ouzoud waterfalls. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, enjoy a free afternoon.

Day 9: Marrakech

Stop At: Marrakech, Marrakech, Marrakech-Safi
Departure day! Leave at any time of the day. Transfer to the airport of Marrakech by your driver.
