Stop At: Cotopaxi National Park, Ecuador

“Avenida de los Volcanes Tour", you will see other volcanos such :Atacazo,Corazón, Ilinizas, Pasochoa, Rumiñahui to finally reach the entrance of Cotopaxi National Park. From here, the adventure starts driving between grasslands. This Park has more than 92,000 acres of extension with a variety of trails, lagoons, rivers which captivates with its beauties. In this area you can also see an exhuberant flora and fauna. At the Limpiopungo lake, you can walk 2 miles to observe some birds endemic from the park. Then by car we will continue to reach the parking area at 15.000 ft. and finally a hike to the basecamp at 16,000 ft. Of course, this last part will depend on your physical conditions. At the end, we can enjoy a typical lunch at Hacienda La Cienega (extra cost), It was the residence of the French Geodesic Mission that came to Ecuador looking for the middle of the world on 1736.
