In this ice cave tour, you will journey into the heart of Breidamerkurjokull glacier's outlet.
We stop for about 1 hour inside the ice cave.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Vatnajokull Glacier, Vatnajokull National Park Iceland

On our way to Vatnajökull, we drive through an amazing landscape that not so many years ago was covered by ice. The drive takes about 35 minutes and we drive as close to the glacier as possible.

After we park the car, we grab the necessary safety gear, and walk the rest of the way to Sapphire ice cave. That walk takes 25-30 minutes and is quite easy. Along the way, the guide will tell about the various changes that have taken place in recent years.

Sapphire ice cave is on the edge of Vatnajökull. We stopped for about 1 hour inside the ice cave.
