Stop At: Sao Bento Railway Station, Praca Almeida Garrett, Porto 4000-069 Portugal

The first stone was laid in 1900 by King D. Carlos I, in the place where the former convent of S. Bento de Avé Maria was located.
It is remarkable and deserves to be visited the interior of the wide atrium, lined with twenty thousand pictorial tiles by Jorge Colaço, which represent suggestive historical and ethnographic pictures.
The colorful frieze that is found all around the atrium tells the story of the means of transport in chronological order, from the beginning to the appearance of the train. Below, large historic panels depict scenes from the History of Portugal.
On the north side, the upper picture describes a moment of the Arcos de Valdevez Tournament and the picture below, the fulfillment of Egas Moniz's word. On the south side, the top panel allows one to imagine the solemn entry of D. João I in Porto, with his bride, D. Filipa de Lencastre and the lower, scenes from the Chronicle of Ceuta.

The Porto Cathedral, like the first belt of city walls, was born in the 12th century on the initiative of its first bishop, D. Hugo.
The temple is also known as the church of Santa Maria do Porto, Nossa Senhora do Porto da Eterna Salvação or Nossa Senhora da Vandoma, patron of the city and inscribed on the municipal coat of arms since the 16th century.

The tomb of the knight João Gordo is found in the chapel of São João Evangelista.

Still in the 14th century, on February 14, 1387, the kings D. João I and D. Filipa de Lencastre were married in the Cathedral of Porto, with the people of Porto dressed in the best clothes and the city was covered with flowers and good smelling herbs for the celebration party.

Stop At: Fonte dos Aliados, Avenida dos Aliados, s/n0, Porto 4000-196 Portugal

Around Avenida dos Aliados develops the "Baixa" of Porto, the meeting point of the city. At the top is the City Hall building, and at the other end of the Avenue, Praça da Liberdade, which has the equestrian statue of D. Pedro IV (19th century), who was also the Emperor of Brazil and a supporter of Liberalism who the city of Porto supported it. Recognized, the king donated his heart to him, kept in the Church of Lapa.

Going up the street of São Filipe Néry, you will find the Church and Torre dos Clérigos, ex-libris of the city and the most original work of Nicolau Nasoni. From the top of the tower's 75 m you can enjoy a superb panoramic view over Porto.

Luís I Bridge
Road and pedestrian with two decks, with a span of 172m and 44.6m of arrow was built in the late 19th century, by the Belgian society Willebroeck, from Brussels with a project by Engineer Teóphile Seyrig, a former Eiffel collaborator.

At the limit of the Costa Verde and Costa de Prata, more precisely in the municipalities of Ovar and Espinho are the walkways of Barrinha de Esmoriz / Lagoa de Paramos.
One of the special characteristics of the lagoon is its brackish waters, because, periodically, there is a connection with the sea through a channel in the dune cordon. This place is a biodiversity sanctuary, since more than 100 species of birds nest here, including the Red Heron, in addition to the existence of other vertebrates such as frogs, eels, gymnasts or bats.
The unique characteristics of this natural space were fundamental for Barrinha / Lagoa to be classified as a Site of Community Importance and integrated into the Natura 2000 Network.

Stop At: Maceda, Maceda, Ovar, Aveiro District, Northern Portugal

For the 10 km of cycle path that connect Cortegaça to Furadouro, we find a cycle path in the middle of a dyllic setting. Large and strong pines that are lost sight of in the extensive pine forest that crosses until you find a beach of fine and light sand.

Afurada Heritage Interpretive Center was built to preserve and disseminate the region's cultural heritage. In this interpretive center we can find small boats made by local artisans, photographs, fishing materials. The exhibition is divided into six themes: Place, Earth, Nature, Life, Home and Women.
