Stop At: Cattedrale di Matera, Piazza del Duomo, Matera Italy

We will visit the Cathedral of Matera, an example of Apulian Romanesque style and dedicated to the Madonna delle Bruna. The latter is the Marian effigy dearest to the people of Matera and is celebrated during the homonymous festival on 2 July.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Casa Grotta di Vico Solitario, Vico Solitario 11, 75100, Matera Italy

We will enter a cave house "inhabiting it" for a few moments like Matera from other times. We will become one with the thought of the now disappeared peasant civilization for a small emotional journey.

The visit also includes admission to the neviera and the rock church of S: Agostino al Casalnuovo.

NB. in case this particular cave house is inaccessible, another equivalent one will be visited

Stop At: Church of Santa Maria de Idris, Sasso Caveoso, 75100, Matera Italy

It is the most scenic and significant rock church in the Sassi of Matera, positioned inside an incredible rocky outcrop which has now become a symbol of the city.
N.B. If this rock church is not accessible, we will visit the rock church of Santa Lucia alle Malve.
In case of inaccessibility also of the rock church of Santa Lucia alle Malve, we will visit the rock church of the Holy Spirit.

Stop At: Sassi di Matera, Piazza Vittorio Veneto, 75100, Matera Italy

You will enter the history of Matera: a world heritage city with this tour dedicated to the Sassi.
Together we will venture through the suggestive streets of Sasso Caveoso to discover its origins, its history and numerous rooms carved into the rock that can still be visited.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: La Fontana Dell'amore "amarsi Nei Sassi", Via San Giacomo, Matera Italy

Five bronze statues that tell us how young people fell in love in the Sassi of Matera between simple gestures and ancient customs.
