This is a private tour with just you and the guide in our vehicle. This gives you maximum safety and flexibility. The early morning tour can include the Cheetah Run which affords guests the opportunity to experience the thrill of watching a cheetah run at high speed. It usually takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. After an audio-visual presentation, guests are accompanied by a guide, on an open game viewer, visiting our open Cheetah & Wild dog enclosures. Vultures caracals, African wild cats, meerkats, brown hyena, honey badgers, impala, and ostrich can also be seen. You might like to consider while in the region visiting other attractions. To the north-west of Johannesburg and Pretoria, it is the most scenic and has the most natural attractions and activities such as the Cradle of Humankind, Lesedi Cultural Village, Chameleon African Craft Market, The Elephant Sanctuary, Monkey Sanctuary, and Cable Way to the top of the 3 billion-year-old Magaliesberg.

Itinerary

Guided tour at the Cheetah Centre including Cheetah and Wild Dog breeding and other programmes. Although the Cheetah breeding programme was the main initiative that led to the foundation of the centre in 1971, there are many other animals whose continued existence and genetic diversity is supported by various breeding programmes at the centre. Here one can see African Wild Dog, Spotted Hyena, Honey Badger, Caracal, Vultures, Impala, and Meerkats in various projects The beautiful natural surroundings enhance the entire experience.
If you have to leave your hotel early for the morning programme (this one can include the "Cheetah Run") ask your hotel for a packed breakfast and you can enjoy it on a picnic there while you wait for the programme to start. You might like to consider while in the region visiting other attractions. This area to the north-west of Johannesburg and Pretoria is the most scenic and has most of its natural attractions and activities. The Cradle of Humankind is close by as too is Lesedi Cultural Village, Chameleon African Craft Market, The Elephant Sanctuary, The Monkey Sanctuary, and the Harties Cable Way to the top of the Magaliesberg Mountains.
