Itinerary

Day 1: Cocora Valley to Finca La Primavera

Stop At: Valle del Cocora, Salento Colombia
We start our experience at 5:00 am in the
central park of Salento – Quindío where
we will have breakfast and then board the
4x4 jeep transport that will take us to the Valley
from Cócora 2,400 masl. we will start our
walk observing the Palma de Cera, tree
National of Colombia, then
we will find a path accompanied by great
Biodiversity of flora and fauna in the forest of
fog and we will finish in the páramo ecosystem.
Lunch will be during the tour and at the end
this day, we will eat and spend the night in the
Spring farm.

Day 2: Finca la primavera to Arenales base camp

Stop At: Natural Los Nevados National Park, Salento, Quindio, Colombia
After a delicious peasant breakfast and loading
our team on the mules, we will leave from the
La Primavera farm to Arenales del Nevado base camp
del Tolima 4,500 masl, during the tour
we will eat a march lunch and we will be able to
sight the Laguna el Encanto. we will arrive at
camp where our guides will explain the use
of the equipment for the ascent to the glacier,
then we will have dinner and rest for
our assault on the top at dawn

Accommodation included: On our second night of expedition we will spend the night in tents (camping) at 4,400 meters above sea level.

Day 3: Base camp at Tolima Snowy Summit

Stop At: Natural Los Nevados National Park, Salento, Quindio, Colombia
At 2:00 am we will have a hot drink
accompanied by something to eat to start
our walk, we will find a
sandy area that we must ascend for approx. a
hour, then we will pass the rockiest area of
our tour, although it is not required
a lot of technique, if we must follow the
recommendations. When we reach the edge of
glacier we will use the necessary equipment to
safely ascend to the summit of Nevado
del Tolima 5,220 masl and there at the highest
we will have a beautiful view of the park
Snowy. We will descend from the summit,
We'll break camp and set out
to the La Primavera farm where we will rest and
we will have dinner

Day 4: Finca la Primavera to Valle del Cocora

Stop At: Valle del Cocora, Salento Colombia
After eating the country breakfast and having
our team on the pack mules, we will leave
from the La Primavera farm, we will descend the high forest
Andean and we will arrive at our destination, the Valley of the
Cócora, we will take the 4x4 jeep transportation to the
municipality of Salento to have lunch and thus give for
completed our expedition successfully.
