Each hiking tour is about 2 hours in duration. Tours can be made private for an additional fee otherwise you will be grouped with like-minded adventurers during your guided hike.

Itinerary

Venture into the lush desert and mountains surrounding Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona, on a half-day guided hiking tour with REI Co-op Experiences. Learn all about the unique flora, fauna, geology, and history from knowledgeable, professional guides.

Each hiking tour is about 2 hours in duration. Tours can be made private for an additional fee otherwise you will be grouped with like-minded adventurers during your guided hike.

Inclusions

  • Bottled water
  • Snacks
  • Professional safety-certified guide (1:8 guide to guest ratio)

Exclusions

  • Clothing – Comfortable, weather appropriate athletic clothing – shorts and a t-shirt, long sleeves are recommended on cooler mornings.
  • Shoes – Close-toed athletic shoes (sneakers)
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, lip balm, medications, hat, etc.
  • Guide gratuities are optional, but appreciated.

Additional information

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • We require solo-travelers to pay the minimum of the 2-person price. If you are a solo traveler and would like to be added on to a pre-formed group for this tour, please mention this upon booking.
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers
  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
