Itinerary

Your cheerful master class begins with a pick-up from your accommodation. Thereafter, a friendly hostess will welcome you and introduce you to the tradition of making Easter Eggs. Pysanka is a cornerstone and a symbol of Ukrainian culture. Ukrainians decorate Easter eggs with symbolic images of the sun, stars, flowers and animals. The tradition dates back and originates from a pre-Christian era. Pysanka is believed to bring happiness and prosperity to people.

You will learn the meaning of the symbols used for the decoration of pysanka, as well as find out its main colors – yellow, red, green, blue and black. To create an Easter egg, the traditional Ukrainian way, you will need wax, fire and water. The ornament of your pysanky depends solely on you, however you may find inspiration from the unique collection of Easter eggs your master will show you at the workshop.

At the end of the class you will have a unique hand-made souvenir that will always remind you of your visit of Ukraine. After the class your driver will take you back to your hotel or apartment.
