Day 1: Cusco Airport - Check in

Welcome to Cusco! We will be waiting for you at the airport for your transfer to the hotel*. We are going to help you with the check in and gives you interesting information about the city, including recommendations for your free day.
*Airport pickup is only available from 5 am to 5 pm.
Note: Check in is usually at 3 pm. Timings in the itinerary are approximate and may change in destination.

Trek briefing at the hotel
At 6 pm you have a briefing at the hotel, where the guide and coordinator explains the last details for the trek. This is the perfect moment to clear the air on the doubts you may have.

Day 2: Cusco - Killarumiyoq- Mollepata- SorayPampa

Cusco - Killarumiyoq- Mollepata- SorayPampa
After a good night’s rest and a delicious breakfast, the guide picks you up at the hotel at 7 am.
The transfer is on a van that takes you to Soraypampa, the first campsite where you will stay at. This is a 4 hr ride.
During this journey you will see beautiful Andean landscapes until you arrive to Killarumiyoq, known as the birthplace of the Inca astronomy. Later you stop in Mollepata to buy last minute supplies such as snacks, energy drinks, and rain coats.
You arrive in Soraypampa at 12:30 pm approx., where you finally get lunch and rest for a while.

1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Soraypampa- Humantay Lake- Soraypampa
After resting for a while, you go on an afternoon walk on a steep trail to get to the amazing Humantay Lake. This is a 3 hour walk (round trip) approximately.
Admire the turquoise blue color of the lake and enjoy the view of the Apu Humantay Mountain.
Then you return to the domes in Soraypampa.

Day 3: Soraypampa - Salkantay Pass - Huayracmachay- Chaullay

Soraypampa - Salkantay Pass - Huayracmachay- Chaullay
You wake up early in the morning with a tea brought to you directly inside your dome. Then you have a delicious breakfast and start the aventure.
The trek starts with a hike up to Salkantay Pass (4650 m), where you walk uphill 7 km (4.34 miles) for 3 hours until you get to the base of the snowy Salkantay.
The view from this point is breathtaking! Not just the view of Salkantay, but also the amazing valleys and snowy peaks that surround it.
After taking in the beautiful landscape, you start the 5 km walk downhill to the place where you get lunch in Huayracmachay (3900 m).
Afterwards, you continue on a 10 km (6.2 miles) walk for about 3 hours crossing through the tropical forest until you arrive to the next campsite in Chaullay (2900 m). You will see how the landscape drastically changes from snowy places to tropical sites.
Once in Chaullay you rest, shower, and enjoy dinner.

Day 4: Chaullay - La Playa- Lucmabamba
Stop At: La Playa, Q9CC+J7F, Yanatile 08710, Peru
6:00 am - 4:00 pm
Chaullay - La Playa- Lucmabamba
After breakfast between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, you start the trek towards Sahuayaco. This is a 6 hour journey through the Santa Teresa valley, where you see rivers, orchids, and banana, coffee and avocado plantations. You will also get to taste the famous fruits of the region.
You go through Colpapampa, also calles the "cloudy forest", where you can see waterfalls, different birds, fruit trees and typical wildlife from the region.
You have a buffet lunch in La Playa (Sahuayaco), then you continue on a 1 hr. walk towards the base camp in Lucmabamba (2400 m).
You can explore the tropical forest and visit a coffee finca, one of the best in the world.

Day 5: Lucmabamba - Llactapata- Hydroelectric- Aguas Calientes
Stop At: Aguas Calientes, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
6:30 am - 5:30 pm
Lucmabamba - Llactapata- Hydroelectric- Aguas Calientes
You wake up with a coca tea in your dome. After breakfast, you walk for 2 hours through the Inka Trail, getting amazing views of the Santa Teresa valley.
You visit the Llactapata site just in front of the glorious Machu Picchu. This is a perfect place to learn more about the Inca culture. You can see the ruins of Machu Picchu, the Huayna Picchu mountain and the Machu Picchu mountain from this place. After a brief explanation, you get free time to take pictures.
Then you descend for 2 hours until you reach the Hydroelectric station, where you have lunch. This place has a spectacular 300 m tall waterfall, which provides electricity for Cusco.
Note: You have two options here:
1) Board the train to Aguas Calientes (extra cost)
2) Continue walking towards Aguas Calientes for about 3 hours along the train tracks.
Once in Aguas Calientes, enjoy the last dinner of the trek and finally rest at the hotel.

Day 6: Aguas Calientes- Machu Picchu- Aguas Calientes
Stop At: Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region

Aguas Calientes- Machu Picchu- Aguas Calientes
The day you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived!
You wake up very early and take your breakfast on the go. You head towards the check point in Machu Picchu boarding the bus from Aguas Calientes.
After a 25 minute ride, you start the visit in Machu Picchu. You explore the terraces, temples, palaces, the priests' houses, the sun clock, the industrial section, and the fields.
Later you can hike up to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain (you must book this beforehand). Hiking each mountain takes approx. 3 hours.
You can also walk towards the Sun Gate (no ticket needed), the main gate to the Inca Trail (3 hour walk), or you can visit the Inca Bridge.

4:22 pm - 8:30 pm
Aguas Calientes- Ollantaytambo- Cusco
Later, you return to Aguas Calientes to get on the train to Ollantaytambo at 4:22 pm (depending on availability). Once there, a van transfers you back to your hotel in Cusco (4 hr. journey).

This incredible adventure ends today. The checkout is at 10 am. You can leave your luggage in reception, if you have spare time before your departure flight. You take the transfer to the airport at the agreed time.*
