Peguche Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall of 18 m in height, formed by the river of the same name, which starts at Lake San Pablo. The waterfall is one of the most important tourist attractions of Otavalo.

The Otavalo Market, which makes this market town famous, is undoubtedly one of the most important and spectacular markets in all of Latin America. The Otavalo market is attractive to visitors for both its outstanding shopping and its cultural significance.

Day 2: Option 1: Cuicocha Lake Hike Option 2: Cuicocha and Condor Park

Stop At: Cuicocha Lake, Laguna Cuicocha Ecuador
One of the most amazing visitor sites in the northern highlands – not far from the famous town of Otavalo and its handicraft market – is Cuicocha, a beautiful crater lake located right beside Cotacachi mountain. This geological formation offers visitors the possibility of hiking along some amazing trails or to peruse the typical handicrafts that are sold over in the small market that’s located at the edge of the lake. See birds of all shapes and sizes at Condor Park, a refuge for one of the region's most threatened creatures. This important facility rehabilitates birds that have been orphaned or held in poor conditions and allows visitors to watch a feeding and flying displays conducted by the expert staff.
