Wine Tasting at a Private Medieval Winery in Chianti - Tuscany
Departs at 10am from central Florence by comfortable, air-conditioned van transport, accompanied by a bi-lingual guide. Experience the secrets of a hidden Etruscan tomb that was discovered by the current owners of the winery! Learn all about the history of the property, from medieval times up until WWII, when the current owners purchased the property to escape from the Nazi's. After the cantina visit, sit down and relax to enjoy a wine tasting on the property. Following the tasting, you will indulge in a delicious traditional Tuscan lunch, with more wine!
Description
Just a 30-minute air-conditioned van drive into the heart of Chianti region of Tuscany. After a scenic drive through the lush vineyards and olive groves of Tuscany, the tour begins with a cantina visit. With a knowledgable, local as your friendly guide, you will learn all about the wine production and a little history of the property and the family who owns the estate. The cantina visit is followed by an in-depth wine tasting where guests will be invited to sample and learn about a variety of wines, all made directly on the property. After the wine tasting comes lunch! The traditional Tuscan lunch comes complete with Italian cheese, prosciutto and lots of pasta, and of course more wine. Before heading back to Florence by van, guests will have some free time to explore the property and take some beautiful photographs as the winery is located in the heart of the scenic Chianti region of Tuscany.
