Discover the resilience and determination of the people of El Peñol, a town that rose from the ashes of a devastating flood in the 1970s. The original town was completely submerged but the community refused to be defeated and decided to rebuild on higher ground, giving birth to the new town of El Peñol. Known as the "Phoenix of America," this town is a testament to the human spirit and the power of community.

Stop At: Piedra Del Penol, Highway El Penol - Guatape, Guatape Colombia

Experience one of the world's most unique and mysterious natural wonders on this tour. The towering 700-foot rock, rising out of the earth, has been revered by indigenous tribes for thousands of years.

Embark on a challenging climb to the top, ascending 740 stairs, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment. The climb provides an opportunity to burn off some of the delicious Colombian empanadas you may have indulged in earlier.
