Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Lukla (2860m), trek to Phakding (2610m), 30min Flight, walk 2- 3 hours
Stop At: Lukla, Lukla, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
We will take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport. This flight is short and is highly scenic. We always recommend you for the left raw seat for the best views of the Himalaya. As you get closer to the Khumbu region, you will see the big hills and mountains outside your windows. The most thrilling experience is the landing experience at Lukla airport.
After landing in Lukla, we will start trekking towards Phakding. From the airport, the trail descends down the stone-paved stairs. Today, there are no ascents, you will descend through the scenic trails under the shades of Rhododendron trees. This trail becomes beautiful in spring when the Rhododendron is blooming.
We will cross a suspension bridge over the landslide. This is your first suspension bridge on the EBC trekking trail. Walking through the beautiful trail for nearly three hours, you will reach Phakding. At Phakding there are many teahouses.

Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6-7 hours.
Stop At: Namche Bazaar, Namche Bazaar, Khumbu, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
On this day, we will start at about 7/8 am in the morning after a nice breakfast. From Phakding, we will trek towards Namche Bazar. The trail passes through the bank of Dudh Kosi river after leaving the village of Phakding. Today is literally the day of crossing the suspension bridges. We will be crossing the high suspension bridges over the same Dudh-Kosi river several times.
Today, we will have to collect our Sagarmatha National park trekking permit. Our guide will help you collect the permits at the two checkpoints on the trail. The trail passes through small villages of Tok-Tok, Monjo, and Jorsale. The Jorsale village is the stop point of many trekkers. They stop there for lunch. We will also stop at a teahouse at Jorsale for lunch.
Namche is a place with clustered teahouses. There are many teahouses that provide the best services and facilities. Also, there are bakeries, pubs, ATMs, and various shops. You can buy some trekking gear or other accessories at Namche.

Day 3: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m), visit Tengboche monastery. 5 hours.
Stop At: Tengboche Gompa, Sagarmatha, Tengboche 56002 Nepal
We will begin to trek after a nice breakfast in Namche. After walking for 30 minutes, you will see great views of Mt.Thamserku soaring above the sky. On the way, we will see two stupas. Also, we will see a couple asking for a donation. After walking for some time, we will see the first view of Mt. Everest. We will also see Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks.
After the flat terrain, the trekking trail drops down to a river. We will have our lunch there and will cross the river on a suspension bridge. While trekking in Everest, a descend is continuously followed by an ascent. There is a checkpoint just before the ascent to Tengboche. We will verify our permits there and will start the uphill climb.
We will check into a lodge. After leaving all the luggage in the room, we will go visit the Tengboche monastery. Inside the monastery, we can hear the evening chants inside the monastery by the Buddhist monks.

Day 4: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m), 5-6 hours
Stop At: Dingboche, Dingboche, Eastern Region
After having morning breakfast at Tengboche, we will continue our Short Everest base camp trek. From Tengboche, the trekking trail descends down for about 30 minutes and reaches Pangboche. After that, the trail is flat. The trail is beautiful with amazing sights of the Himalayas and many trekkers around.
The trek route is amazing. We will pass through small villages of Somare and Orsho. We will have lunch at the Somare village. where you can have your lunch. On walking further, we will see the Lobuche river. After crossing the river, we will reach Dingboche village.
Dingboche is a lovely village. We will see the cultivation of Potato and Barley there. Here, people surround their fields with stone walls to protect the crops from cattle and cold air.
We will see amazing views of Mt. Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Taboche from the village.

Day 5: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m), 6 hours.
Stop At: Lobuche, Khumjung 56000, Nepal
From Dingboche, we will continue trekking on the beautiful trail. We will walk through the uphill trail that meets a ridge after some time. From the ridge, we can see the best views of Mt. Tawache and Cholatse so close and so beautiful. With the admirable views of the Himalayas in front of us, we will trek further.
Remember, we are above 4000 meters now. So, you must be very careful. Walk slow. Drink plenty of water. You must get down to lower altitudes as soon as possible if in case you see any signs of altitude sickness.
On walking further, we will trek through the beautiful yak pastures in Thukla, 4620 meters. Now, the trail climbs steeply uphill to the terminal moraine of Khumbu glacier. From there, we will walk for around two hours, we will reach Lobuche

Day 6: from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5164m) to EBC (5365m) and back to Gorakshep, 8 hours
Stop At: Everest Base Camp Trail, Khumjung 56000, Nepal
Finally, it’s the day! Today, we will reach the Everest base camp. After having breakfast in Lobuche, we will set off on the trekking trail towards Gorakshep. In the beginning, the trekking is easy.
Walk slow, be careful. At Gorakhshep there are teahouses where we will stay overnight. After checking into the teahouses, we will have lunch. After leaving our backpack and luggage there, we will begin trekking towards the base camp.
The walk is exciting! Reaching the base camp of Everest base camp, 5364 meters is a blissful moment. The Everest base camp is a dream destination of most of the trekkers, and you are there. Enjoy your moment at the base camp with views of the different Himalayas and Khumbu icefall.
After spending some time at the base camp, we will now trek back to Gorakshep overnight. You must drink plenty of water before you sleep in Gorakshep.

Day 7: Hike from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5643m) and retreat trek to Pheriche (4370m), 8 hours.
Stop At: Pheriche, खुम्जुंग 56000, Nepal
Today, we will be trekking to Kalapathar. Kalapathar is the best viewpoint of Mt. Everest. From there, you will see the 360 degrees view of the Everest massif. We will start pretty early in the morning, nearly at 4 am.
The trail to Kalapathar is difficult. It is an uphill climb on the icy trail. The sunrise view from Kalapathar is the best one.
Cherish the moment. Take some photographs with gigantic Everest standing proud on the background. Click the panorama of the Himalayas. After rejoicing for some time at Kalapathar, we will get back to Gorakhshep. We will carry our luggage and will start trekking down towards Pheriche.
Pheriche is a beautiful village. Beautiful and artistic rocky hills surround the village from all sides. There are some teahouses and guest houses in Pheriche.

Day 8: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar, 7 hours
Stop At: Namche Bazaar, Namche Bazaar, Khumbu, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
It is a long day today. After having a filling breakfast in Pheriche, we will start trekking back. The trekking trail is beautiful. We will trek towards the Debuche village. This is a small settlement with some teahouses. From Debuche, the trail leads you towards the Pangboche village.
Most of the trekkers have their lunch at Pangboche village. After having lunch, we will continue to walk. After an uphill climb, we will reach Tengboche. From there, the trail takes a continuous downhill and crosses a river. After crossing the river, there is another ascent. After the uphill, the trail is flat and easy.
Walking through the beautiful trail, we will reach Namche.

Day 9: Trek from Namche to Lukla , 7 hours
Stop At: Lukla, Lukla, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
Though the trail is long, the walk is easy. There are some trekkers who run on their way back from the base camp. Doing so, you are increasing the risk of getting injured. Do not hurry, do not run, most of the accidents happen on the way back.
From Namche, we will start descending the famous uphill after the Hilary suspension bridge. We will cross the bridge and will hike gradually along with the other trekkers on the trail. On our way back, we will have lunch at Tok Tok. After having lunch, we will continue to walk.
The joy of getting back home is different on this day. After trekking for long hours, we will finally reach Lukla. At Lukla, you can buy some gifts for your friends and family. There are bakeries and shops where you can go and relax.

Day 10: Fly out from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Stop At: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Today is your last day on the trek. If the weather is good, you can fly back to Kathmandu via the scheduled flight. In cases of bad weather, there can be delays in the flights.
Enjoying the thrilling flight, we will fly back to Kathmandu.
