Your host and wine expert comes from a food and wine background working in Scotland, London, South Africa, Argentina and on Luxury Cruise Ships like the Yachts of Seabourn as a Head Sommelier, so you will be in safe hands.
The Wine Experience is also about visiting small boutique wineries off the beaten track for more of a personal and intimate experience. Think of this as more of an Adventure visiting a winery that are not normally that accessible. We only work with unique wineries who offer something special, which is why we call it a surprise winery. Get ready to experience something different in Punta del Este.
Description
This experience focuses on visiting a Surprise vineyard off the beaten path in Punta del Este. This is very much like a sightseeing tour as you will get to see a lot on route to the winery. On arrival at the vineyard enjoy a welcome glass of wine while you get to the know the property, cellar and vineyards. You will then taste artisanal cheeses made at the property with a delicious Rose. This is followed by a a Countryside Lunch with many red wines. Your expert host will guide you through the wines as you enjoy lovely views of the vineyard.
This is a great opportunity to taste new and interesting wines including Tannat, which grows very well in Uruguay. It's usually full bodied with lots of structure and tannins. Your host will be on hand to tell you about Uruguay and their wines. This experience is perfect for Food & Wine Lovers looking for something unique. Let's start your trip in style!
