Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Parque Lage, Rua Jardim Botanico 414 Jardim Botânico, Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro 22461-000 Brazil

Designed in 1840 by the English landscaper John Tyndale, the beautiful garden in a romantic European style shares the attention with the native forest of the Atlantic Forest. Also noteworthy are the imperial palm trees, the lakes and artificial islands, in addition to the caves scattered throughout the park and the aquariums embedded in the walls with various fish. Much sought after by families, especially on weekends, Parque Lage has a good structure for the fun of children, with toys and a large outdoor area. It is very common to carry out picnics in the park.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Jardim Botanico, Jardim Botanico, Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro

Founded in 1808 by D. João, then Prince Regent of Portugal, the Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro is famous for the exuberance and importance of its collections of plants, as well as the beauty of its landscapes. Its bicentennial history is expressed in its monuments, buildings and works of art.

Visitors can stroll through the alleys and see plants from different countries, discover the greenhouses (Orchids, Bromeliads, Ferns and Insectivorous Plants) and the thematic gardens and collections, such as the Japanese Garden, created in 1935 from the donation of 65 specimens of plants typical Japanese.

Among the monuments, the Visitors Center – a construction from the 16th century -, the statues of Echo and Narciso made by Mestre Valentim, and the Portal of the Academia de Belas-Artes, designed by Grandjean de Montigny, stand out. The Garden is also a good place for bird watching.
