A small village in the heart of the Douro Valley. The village is known for its spectacular panoramic views over the Douro River and the surrounding vineyards, which have earned it the nickname "belvedere of the Douro".
From here you can enjoy a landscape full of vineyards. In addition to the vineyards, other elements such as mountains, fields and villages stand out. The rich fauna and flora also stand out in this location.

Situated on the banks of the Douro River and is surrounded by terraced vineyards that produce some of the world's finest wines, including Port wine. One of the main attractions in Pinhão is the Pinhão Railway Station, which is famous for its beautiful azulejo panels depicting scenes from the Douro Valley.
The Douro Valley is known for its delicious traditional cuisine, including dishes made with fresh, local ingredients, such as grilled fish, olive oil, and smoked meats.

The winery is part of the Symington Family Estates, a family-owned company that has been producing wine in the region for more than 130 years. The metal bridge was built in 1872 by King D. Luís I for road crossing of the Douro River and was deactivated since 1949 due to the state of degradation of the wooden board.
The initial project belongs to engineer W. Liebe, and was later changed by engineer Johann Gaspar Harkort and the construction work was under the guidance of German engineer Wilherm Dulhener from the Eifel team.

Considered the capital of the Douro wine region and is an important hub for the wine industry. The town is home to the Douro Museum, which showcases the history and culture of the region and includes exhibits on the production and marketing of Port wine.
